Ever tried to brush a Golden Retriever until there is no more shedding? If you have, you know it is simply impossible. This blanket sheds the same way in the dryer. (At least the first time you dry it.) I have not attempted a second time. I will say... while it sheds in the dryer, it doesn't on the bed. OVERALL - it is a very very good blanket. Just the right thickness to be warm, but not swampy and stuffy. Please make sure you: a) keep a close watch on your lint catcher, lest you burn your house down; and, b) dry it on no heat or low heat, until you see the lint is no longer collecting ... show more

Love this blanket. Love cotton blankets, they breathe the best, so you don't overheat. The size of this is just right for a king size beds. My husband used to pull the blanket off me while sleeping, but with this blanket it's so big that isn't happening any longer. Happy sleeper lol

I was at an Airbnb who had this blanket on the bed. It was lovely and I decided to order my own. Well day 1, I washed and dried it and couldn't believe the amount of lint that came off this blankey! Pictures attached. Day 1 also, my dog put his paws on my bed and snagged it immediately. So, I'm thankful I got it at a good price, but not sure I can recommend with any animals nearby. ... show more

I wish I had come to the reviews before I purchased this item. When I received it, I put it in the washing machine. After a full cycle, I was shocked to see how much wet lint was stuck to the sides and bottom of the washing machine. Next, I put it in the dryer. For some reason, I have a thought to check the lint trap after five minutes. The screen was thickly coated with a very fine lent. I clean the screen, turned on the machine again. I checked again and another five minutes, same result. I then put it back in the washing machine for a second wash that’s when it hit me to check the Amazon reviews for this blanket. Everything said about it in the one star reviews is absolutely correct. This is of such poor quality and definitely a fire hazard for the dryer. It also took some time to finally be able to wipe out all the lint from the washing machine in the dryer. After the second wash, I didn’t even bother putting it back through the dryer. It’s outside to air dry and as soon as I’m able to pack it up, it will be returned. ... show more
