I got this blue tent for a woman's retreat where my daughter and I have to pack our supplies in over a mile. Its not heavy at all. It took me 10 minutes to set it up for a trial run. Easy. Connect top of tent first, red poles, then blue, then green, then rainfly, and lastly, stake it to the ground. I love the footprint and height. I am a 62 year old woman and my height is 5'6". I can completely stand up inside with about 12" to spare. This tent is the best I've had. We camp alot. Not sure about how it performs in rain. Hopefully we don't find out! Haha. I was really proud of myself. Easy color code setup. Space for full/twin cot, cook stuff, water and 2 large dogs. The windows with screen was a blessing kept those flies out, but had nice air flow. My husband and I bought this tent 2 years ago and have not regretted it once, it is sturdy, easy to put up, and very comfortable. We camped in it for 5 days while it was storming the entire time and it only let in water on the last night when a seam in the fly tarp leaked a little, but completely understandable. ... show more

Fairly easy to set up, color-coded poles are a nice touch, but the front door zippers are a bit prone to jamming. Very waterproof (at least at first), we got a bit of a rainstorm the first night and everything stayed very dry inside (in fact, the rain fly even retained about a quart of water!).

I can put this tent together by myself in about 10-15 minutes. The color coding is really easy to figure out. The only problem, as others have mentioned, are the zipper and flaps on the door. The flap got stuck in the zipper....a LOT. Until I cut the flap off. Now the zipper works perfectly. I'm 6'1", and like the fact that I can stand up in this tent. Due to the zipper/flap issue, I would like to give it a 4.5 rating, but since it's either 4 or 5, I'm going to round up. Really do love this tent. ... show more

This looks in a lot of light and a fair bit of air without letting in any water period pitched for two months through many storms and it’s been fantastic. I need it to be a little warmer right now and added some tarps and layers under the rain fly, extending its use into fall weather.

So simple to set up! Poles and assembly pieces are color coded for easy and quick set up! I hate assembling tents, but next to one you just toss up in air and it unfolds, this one is easy. We had severe weather 1st night. When having to cover all ventilation mesh, it got really humid inside. Kept us dry thought! Not 1 leak. Seam between floor and sides is stitched about an inch up from ground, so very protective tent. Includes ground spikes to secure to ground. ... show more

I have used this tent twice (for a total of 4 nights) so here are my impressions so far: It was a little tricky to set up the first time. The color coding was slightly confusing at first. In the video it only shows one connector hub that the poles connect into. There are actually six. But once I figured out which direction each one was supposed to face and connected the poles, set up was pretty easy. The first time I used this tent, it was very windy both days, with winds reaching up to 20 mph for a sustained period of time. I was camping on sand and did not have it staked into the ground. I only had it attached with the guy lines to a 5 gallon bucket of sand on each corner. It held up very well. The poles and frame seem very sturdy and well constructed. It stood up to the wind very well. I have not used it in rainy weather yet, so I do not know whether it would leak or not. In the description, it says it could be used for backpacking, I would definitely not recommend that. It is pretty heavy, and fairly large. Perfect for car camping though. I wish there were windows on all four sides instead of just front and back. As other reviews said, the zipper does tend to snag easily, so it can be a little annoying at times, especially if you're fumbling with it in the middle of the night. The bag that it comes in is nice because it has a little extra room. Most tents are almost impossible to get back in their bag. But there's enough extra room, that I was able to fit my 8'x10' ground tarp in the bag with it also. ... show more
