These swings are nice! The pillows do seem a little undersized but they are actually pretty comfortable. I may try some one piece chair cushions in the future. You can sit in these swings a few different ways depending on how and where you position the fabric. * I am a bigger girl and I feel comfortable in these swings * I was super concerned with the safety type reviews in general on hammock swings so I ordered heavy duty swing/360 swivel brackets. My husband is a welder so the brackets are welded to our porch structure. The only hardware that comes with these is a carabineer and it is good quality. * Our lowest floor to ceiling clearance is about 6'7" and these chairs work in that space. *The fabric is nice By the end of the night our friends were melting into these hammock swings and bargaining over who got to sit in them. I ordered two more lol. The kids love them too. I can definitely see myself using an ottoman and falling asleep. I also ordered one that is the parachute material for my daughter's room and these Highwild swings feel much more sturdy and durable than hers. Assembly notes---some of the bad reviews had "issues" that weren't/could have been prevented: 1) Do NOT untie the rope wrapped at the base of the rope "eyes"--this is a slider used to make the loops into, essentially, slip knots. With a lot of effort (if you lack muscle like I do) you _can_ open the loops. Wiggle and pull, wiggle and pull; it helps to hold the knotted bit in one hand and work the loop open with your other hand. All four loops open this way. This allows the ropes to fit over the flanges on the spreader bar. I didn't feel like attempting another wrestling match to tighten them back up (they were not loose enough to slide back over the flanges on their own) but will go back and readjust them if necessary after the ropes have had a chance to stretch a bit. 2) Yes, the hanging rope appears very short. The ropes on the chair part also seem to hold the hammock very close to the stretcher bar. They all will STRETCH when a body adds weight to it. I'm 5'7" and do *not* come close to hitting my head on the bar despite how close it appears to be. 3) The chair hangs very high when new, before it has had a chance to stretch--you will likely need additional *safe* high-quality, specific hanging hardware intended for weight-bearing and swinging motions in order to bring the chair down low enough to get into. I used both the carabiner included with the chair and the one included with my chair stand, and it's still a bit high even for my long legs. 4) As mentioned in other reviews, the cushions are no where near as thick as the product photos represent. Having said that, they are not uncomfortable--but extra/different cushions will help the chair hold its shape when there is no body in it. 5) Feels and smells like cotton [grey chair]; I would *not* recommend keeping it outside, as the cords do not appear to have much polyester in them despite the product description, and feel like they would be prone to rotting. Some reviewers seem to have had some luck with the chair outdoors, but I would definitely beware of the possibility of mold/mildew/rot. (Will need to update this review in a year, as my chair will be used in a sunroom that gets *very* humid in summer.) Overall, more of a 4.5 stars and not bad for my first swing chair. My cats will likely be miffed I ditched the (extremely uncomfortable) lounge we can all share, but there's room for one to join me if/when they figure out how to get in it. (I'm still working on doing that gracefully myself...) ... show more

This is great for someone on the smaller to medium side. I am 5'5" and 140lbs and I fit very comfortably with room to spare. My husband is 6' and 300 with wide shoulders and he does not fit comfortably in this. I have this hanging from a tree in my back yard and enjoy escaping to it to enjoy the wildlife and to sit and read. There are 2 pockets in the chair I use to hold my phone and water bottle so they don't fall out and get lost. The two cushions aren't overfilled but do add to the comfort. I do like that they aren't sewn into the chair so that I can adjust them where I want them for my comfort. I really do enjoy this chair and am glad that I got it for myself. ... show more

Bought a set of these for Mothers Day. They seemed to be very good quality, however the pillows were very flat and offered little comfort. Once set up, they stretched slightly, but we’re comfortable overall. After a few uses, we noticed some strands kept coming unraveled. Fairly easy to tie back together, but frustrating to keep having to do. We ended up keeping them cause overall, for the price, they’re not bad. (Ended up buying better stuffed pillows for the seated part) ... show more

I bought 2 of these to hang on the dock at the lake house. I love them. Very light weight material so it’s not hot when you’re sitting in them. Easy take down and put up to get out of the weather. Very comfortable to sit in and swing. I would highly recommend.
