Description

This Mini Recirculating Highbanker was designed to help you get the gold much faster than panning or drywashing. This Mini Highbanker comes with 12 volt 750-gph pump for plenty of water volume, 4 foot recirculating hose, alligator clips, and a recirculating pump bracket. It has adjustable legs for easy slope control. The sluice and top hopper make 42" of combined classifying area. The box and hopper are each 6" wide x 21" long x 3 inch high sides. Unit weight is about 10 pounds. Black ribbed matting is in the top hopper for fast gold ID, and a built in spray bar. In the bottom of the sluice is ribbed miner's carpet with expanded metal. The expanded metal helps keep the gold in the box and prevents rocks from knocking it loose. The riffles and cage are aluminum. The benefits of aluminum is that it is light weight, and it is easier to use a magnet to remove the black sand build up. The sluice and hopper are made out of strong .080 gauge 5052 aluminum. Riffles are made out of .063 gauge 5052 aluminum, which is as thick as a quarter. The side rails of the riffle cage is made of 3/16" thick flat stock aluminum. Riffle cages are bolted in place. This Mini-Recirculating Highbanker is made to fit in a plastic tub (not included). All you need to buy is the tub, a 12V lawn mower battery, and a small pail to catch the waste rock. Or just as easily use without a tub -- place the mini hibanker in a stream. Approx. shipping weight and dimensions: 15 pounds; 24x12x12. Made in the USA!

So far I think this is a good product but I think the pump is too fast and needs to be slowed down. Can't see a way to slow it down so may need to add something to dial it back. I've run about 20-30 pans of classified dirt through it and I get more black sand from hand panning than I do with this high banker and I think it's because the water is too powerful/fast. Maybe it's the angle and I need to make it more shallow but I find I'm catching more black sand and garnet in a hand pan than this. I'll continue and update if I make better progress with angles but winter is coming fast so I may have to update next year. ... show more

It’s light and compact, easy to set up. Could use a backpack to take into remote spots. You would still need to hall in the battery. I would buy a bigger model if your serious, this is a hobby size.

Unit is extremely cheap and poorly machined. Sharp edges that if you rub wrong will cut you. The legs on the unit are angled so you can't really even get a bucket under the output end of it. The way that the legs are very unstable. They give you rubber hose clamps and a plastic hose so it doesn't seal neatly when you tighten it down. However, the reason I gave it 2 Stars is the water pump is good and pumps a reasonable amount of water per hour. No instructions or product manuals come with unit, just a very generic how to put it together piece of paper. Wish I had spent a little more and gone with a better unit. ... show more

Sluice box itself is very well made. Header box is well made but not a good fit to sluice(took quite a bit of fitting). The dream mat fits great and is very secure. It also works fantastic for fine gold. Pump is nice and has more than enough output flow. I would suggest a speed controller for pump. Many can be found on Amazon under 20 bucks. ... show more
