Both my cats like the top bed and fight over it. They do not use the second bed at the top because it is to close to the top bed. They also don't side baskets. The media could not be loaded. The instructions were easy'ish to assemble. Took me about an hour by myself. My big boy cat likes to sleep on the top perch. Being 5'5" I really had to strain my neck to look up at him. The only issue I had is the width of the base and it needs to be heavier. My big boy is about 20 pounds of muscle. He knocked this thing over twice trying to jump off the top. We now have x2 20-lb weights on the base to keep it from tipping over again. I know it came with a wall anchor, but we don't want to put a hole in the wall. My issue, not theirs. But if they would widen that base about a foot and make the base heavier, we wouldn't have to consider anchoring it. ... show more

It is a bit large but it is perfect for my kitchen now a teenager lol she enjoys the two separate pouches and just climbs everywhere! It is tall enough for her to look out into the entire room and it has so many parts for her to explore. Mine had a missing whole for the very top flat bed but it was completely fine without it because it would have been a bit too tall actually so we use for her to sleep around the apartment. Great buy for the price also because there were others that were actually wayyyyy more expensive and had wayyyy less stuff than this one. I would recommend definitely. Huts plus hammocks equals happy HAPPY happy cats! Super sturdy but we weighted down the base just to make sure won't tip. Everything is secure and safe and sturdy enough to withstand our 3 boys who are more than a little cray cray and more than a little large and in charge.     • Taller than most trees but poorly designed

We got the muchroom color, this cat is taller than most which can be good or bad depending on the cat. So far the three biggest of our 8 cats have been up top of it. This cat tree is congested because so much is squeezed into its structure. Most cats will manage this with no problem unless they are on the larger side (20 lbs or so.) There are a lot of parts so assembly will take a while. The material covering the cat tree is pretty plush which created some issues aligning screw holes. I stick a screw in one side and it gets stuck on the material coming out the other. A trick I used was inserting the included Allen wrench from the opposite direction which kept the fabric holes aligned then pushed the screw through. In the upper bucket, I ran into an issue when I screwed on the scratching post above it. As the post got tighter the loose material on the bucket bunched underneath it. Now the bucket sags more than it should. The second platform from the top was supposed to have a hole through its material for installing a screw. There was no hole so I had to cut a tiny one. This is a tall cat tree and the color is nice looking but it has design issues. In my opinion, they are simply trying to put too much stuff in a tall narrow profile. If a cat jumps on this and it is not anchored the tree likely will wobble or fall due to its height (keep against a wall to help stability.) ... show more

Purchased Cat Towers in the past. This tree tower is the most difficult to assemble. The direction and engineering of the cat tree, screws etc. are not made for this to be put together alone or easy, at all. Having to hire someone to put it together.
