  • Very versatile and handy
It looks like a very useful kitchen tool.

  • Great
If you use fresh herbs you really should think about getting this. Very sharp, comfortable to use. I used it on scallions. This did the job perfectly. Will be using it on parsley. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and chopping herbs can be difficult at times. This makes it SO easy for me. Protective sleeve fits nice. Scraper works great. Not light and flimsy. Good deal. Handy addition for our kitchen. Very pleased. ... show more

  • Definitely chops up herbs, annoying to clean
We love this that these scissors nicely shred up herbs. We use them most for basil and cilantro. We hate that they seem to easily "clog" and that we have to keep a toothpick or knife handy to poke out the cut herbs and for washing, as well. Otherwise, we can't complain.

  • Value for the money
I read the comments before purchasing but I went ahead anyway. This scissor would be good for cutting leafy herbs-etc. I tried it on bag iceberg lettuce and it didn’t do well. It’s kinda small for my big hands but I think it well do good for fresh parsley-etc that type of stuff. but I’ve not tried it on it yet. Some reviews complained about rust , I haven’t had a issue with that. I use a lot of stainless steel in my kitchen and had some rusting issues with pots but I believe it’s the city water and stuff in it because of cast iron pipes. I had one pot that I used exclusively for boiling water to make coffee that had a rusting issue and was difficult to clean to the point it thought about writing it off until I discovered the trick of using lemon juice and hot water. This one pot I put a lot of lemon juice then water let it boil for awhile then sat it in my countertop for 3 day and the pot with a little scrubbing came perfectly clean like brand new. If people are having a rust issue it might not be the scissors but your water. Warning if you decide to use the fallowing cleaning tip use Ansell nitrile gloves because lemon juice is vary acidic and my harm your skin on your hands, at the end of this I posted a complete description of the Ansell gloves I use, and they are available on Amazon. If you have a cleaning issue soak your scissors in a pan of hot lemon juice water for a couple of hours but be careful not to submerge the handle ends because I Don’t know what effect the lemon juice will have on the coating. I tell you that lemon juice trick really works. It even dissolves calcium buildup on my glass pot lids , it’s awesome. Now I’m cleaning all my stainless stuff in hot lemon juice water. And use real good industrial gloves if you plan on using this trick. I use Ansell 37-185-10 size 10 18”” 22mm Sol-Vex unlined Nitrile Gloves Sandpatch finish exclusively in my kitchen. They are awesome. Available on Amazon for 15.40 per pair. They well last you a vary long time at home in the kitchen. I used to use them when I worked as a heavy duty diesel mechanic. ... show more

  • works well
works very well for cutting vegetables and lots of green onions and more

  • Expedites veg prep, but can cause hand fatigue if you don't know how to use it...
These scissors' cool factor kind of overextends their usefulness. Indeed it does shave down prep time for cutting/ slicing vegetables significantly, but only if you use it right. You cannot overload the mouth with, for instance, 3 green onion stalks simultaneously; it will jam and can be painfully difficult to get the jaws to complete the cut without straining your hand (sure, this isn't a problem if you're only prepping a small volume of veggies, but it quickly becomes a painful nuisance when you're doing a week's worth of meal prep in advance..). So I do want to forewarn this device can cause hand fatigue quite easily---I couldn't, for that reason, recommend to anybody elderly or whom suffers arthritis, fibromyalgia, etc. Do not overload it: I've found that 2 green onion stalks at a time is the max, and when it comes to cucumbers, they definitely need to be quartered lengthwise, and placed with the skin side resting on the bottom blade jaw (so its wet wedge facing upward to the top blade jaw) and then the scissors will slice'em up, no problem. You just have to figure out the learning curve with this device. If you overload it, it will be hard to cut with, and even if you're successful forcing it through a large bite, some of the slices will inevitably end sprayed up on the underside of your nearby cabinet from the release of tension once the blades complete the cut. Overloading also necessitates frequent combing of the blades with the end of the included green scissor sheath which can be annoying due to having to constantly shift between vegetables and the comb---once again, slowing down your productivity. As a vegan who does not eat out and prepares all his meals at home, I do like these herb scissors but will admit it took me some time to get accustomed to them. Now that I've developed a better sensitivity for how they are best used, I like them more, but they're still annoying here and there. Nevertheless, they will speed up prep, so I do recommend them, with the disclaimer of not expecting a scissor superhero (like I did when I first ordered them lol). If you're a low- to medium-volume home user, I think they will serve you well. If you're a sous chef in a restuarant with higher-volume needs, do not but these; they will just piss you off immensely lol, and your culinary skills, coupled with a high-quality blade, will be a much better selection for you. The urge for an impulse buy due to super unique product appearance is strong in this one, but all that glitters is certainly not gold... ... show more

  • Great pair of scissors
I grow and use a lot of herbs and was so happy to get these scissors. Much easier than chopping. Cleaning them is not as easy as cleaning a knife, but I am very happy with them. I just bought a pair for my son’s Christmas stocking as he is a great cook.

  • Great concept, easy to use!
I like these scissors, great concept! Worked well, the herbs get stuck pretty quickly but the end of the cover help get it out. Not great for green onions for actual onion part. Could be sharper. Easy to use.
