We use garlic and avocado every week so I knew this would get a lot of use. The silicone tube works perfectly in loosening and removing the skins from the garlic cloves. No more trying to knife or finger pick the skins off the garlic (and smelling like garlic for the rest of the day)! The garlic press is high quality stainless and has a comfortable handle to push down and rock over the garlic to smash (or crush) the cloves. Works well on smashing an avocado, too! Garlic presses are one of those kitchen gadgets I'm convinced I've never properly figured out. Do other people have really strong hands and I don't? Are they using a different kind of garlic? Who wants to clean garlic out of a one inch square? What gives? This little puppy, however, is so easy to use! You just mash the garlic into a cutting board and wipe it off the inside.     • Need to press garlic several times
I had never seen a rocking garlic press before. Before I tried this device, mincing garlic meant putting a garlic clove into the chamber of a hand-held device, and then squeezing the handles together, which pushes the plunger into the chamber. The minced garlic exits through the holes in the chamber. Instead of a chamber and handles, this press has a curved shape that minces the garlic by rocking it back on and forth on a work surface while you apply pressure. The minced garlic exits through holes to the inside of the press. A rocking garlic press may be an advantage for folks with arthritis or limited hand strength. Another advantage of a rocking press is that it will press a large clove. However, one disadvantage of this press is the large (4 mm diameter) size of the holes; the holes of my hand-held garlic press are about 1.5 mm in diameter. Smaller holes of a garlic press results in more allicin being released from the clove and a stronger garlic flavor. Thus, you may need to press the garlic a second time with this rocking press. This rocking garlic press comes with a silicone sleeve that really helps removing the skin; you put a garlic clove in the sleeve and roll it back and forth and the peel is loosened and easily comes off. ... show more

I use garlic in almost every dinner I cook. For years I have used a garlic press and peeling sleeve made by PC, those have been great quality and help up well, however the press was hard to clean. This press could not be easier to use or to clean. Just roll over the clove with a little pressure and it's diced. Run a sponge over it on both sides and it's clean. The rolling peeler is great, the ridges on the inside grab the peels well. ... show more

Easy to hold. Super easy to wash. Was able to mince ton of garlic is a short period of time. The steel itself is high quality and durable. Will be using it daily!
