Recently, I read an article on thekitchn.com where they had tested 5 common methods for garlic storage. A ceramic garlic keeper came out with the highest rating. As someone who loves to cook and uses a ton of garlic, I was excited to have a proven method of storing garlic that would help it last, versus just keeping in a bowl like I’ve always done. The one recommended in the article was a little too rustic looking for my modern-ish kitchen, plus I wanted white. I was worried the garlic shape would look to kitschy but its really not. It looks great and does its job well! This one is larger than I anticipated but that’s ok. Room for more garlic! This was the review on thekitchn.com_ Results: Every bit of the garlic retained a very firm texture — firmer than with any other method. There were no outward signs of sprouting, and no emerging green shoots from any of the cloves. The cut cloves had a potent, spicy-strong allium aroma. Some of the cloves contained pale, less developed sprouts inside, but most remained sprout-free. And the flavor was spicy, pungent, and perfectly garlicky. Oh my goodness, the photo and description doesn't do it justice. I was so amazed when I opened the box (by the way the packaging is also first class) it was breathtaking....absolutely gorgeous. Buy this, you won't be disappointed.

This is a large garlic 🧄 holder. It’s very cute. It is a statement piece for your kitchen. I love it. Our garlic is usually just hanging out , now it has a home. It can hold a lot of garlic , even the elephant garlic , if you are lucky enough to have it , it looks awesome in our kitchen. I would love to get this as a gift. It’s not something you think you need , until you get it ! It weighs about 2 lbs. it is definitely worth the money. Great gift for the garlic lover / Chef in your life. Love that this looks great on my counter and is big enough to hold an onion or several shallots along with garlic. Not sure there are enough holes for good air circulation. I returned from a 10-day trip to find the contents a bit damp and rotting.

Love the idea! Great way to store my garlic without it having to stay in the store-bought bag or out in the open. I originally had my garlic stored in a wire basket in its store-bought bag, but hated when the skins of the garlic would peel off or fall through the basket onto the floor or counter. With this container, all the skins stay in the container and it is easier to clean up. I also like that it can be on display as a decorative piece and isn't an eye sore. There are several negatives about this piece. First, it looks more like a pumpkin, than a garlic. Secondly, the top and bottom don't seem to match up completely so it is a little loose. And lastly, the lid can easily slip out of your hands. I almost dropped the top piece as I opened it. Maybe if it was slightly longer or had some type of grip on the handle, it would help. ... show more
