The Henckels Forged Accent Knife Series is highly durable and crafted of fully forged German stainless steel blades that offer excellent weight, balance and edge retention. The elegant triple riveted handles and stainless steel blades provide for a full tang handle. The metal end cap displays the Henckels logo. The self-sharpening knife block slots boast built-in ceramic honing wheels that automatically sharpen when knives are stored or removed. The remaining slots are for serrated knives, whose toothed blades never need sharpening. Enjoy effortless sharpness for precise prep work every time. Plus, the handsome stained ash wood base and stainless steel cap add aesthetic appeal to your countertop. This complete set comes with all slots in the knife block filled. I've had them for more than 6 months now. They are very nice knives and I love them! I'm so happy I bought these. You do need to consciously make sure the knives slide across the sharpener when you put them in or take them out. The instructions say that you should not push them down but it's easy to put them in the slots where they won't touch the sharpener. So just make sure they are in contact with the sharpener. There are a couple of knives that are my favorites. The Santoku knife is the best for chopping vegetables. It stays very sharp and I wonder why I never had one of these before. The Utility knife and Prep knives are the ones I use the most. ... show more

The Henkke 20-piece set is all you will ever need and has all sizes for every occasion. Love this set and especially since they are the self-sharpening set that is fantastic and as dad would say it is always easier when you have the right tool even in the kitchen that is so true to have the right knife when cutting meat or vegetables that makes it a breeze not having to struggle when knives cut with ease. We bought these knives 2 years ago with a 4 year warranty. All the handles have split. Amazon in all their wisdom put the wrong dollar amount warranty on the product and it's only good for $249 no the $399 we paid. Assurion is paying the $249 and told us Amazon put the wrong warranty on the product and to get the credit for the difference from them. After talking to three people who can't understand basic English they sent a request to the seller. It's not the sellers fault the wrong warranty got on there so I'm still fighting for the extra $150 they owe me to replace with a different set of knifes. These are not worth the money and the support from Amazon isn't worth the trouble. Just be smart and don't buy them ... show more
