  • Works great, but wish it's lighter
Style: Chair Zero
Bought the chair for backpacking, which I love but it kept sinking to the dirt. So I got this. It worked and easy to assemble. But it's not very light when I really dont like carrying extra weight. I probably won't take in on backpacking trips again but will take it with me on day hikes.

  • Works
Style: Chair Zero
No more sinking into the sand or pebbles! Takes some effort to get them on but I am an old lady and I did it! They also will fit into the chair bag along with the inflatable pillow. We hook the cup holder to the strap at the end and off we go.

  • Does What I Hoped It Would
Style: Chair Zero
Avid backpacker who loves his Chair Zero but wished it was better at not sinking in to the soft ground. This 'tarp' solved that problem! Not what I "should" carry if I wish to be ultralight (weighs 6+ oz), but then again, you don't carry a chair if going ultralight! Easy to attach to base of chair and slide legs in. No noticeable unintended consequences while using it. Chair is still comfortable enough after a long day of hiking. Recommend! ... show more

  • Do NOT Get a Chair Zero without this Accessory
Style: Chair Zero
Unless you ONLY intend to sit on pavement or hard man-made surfaces, this item is a absolute MUST. It adds very little weight to the chair, and it wraps up around the disassembled unit and fits right in the Chair Zero's carry bag. It really should just come with the chair and not be an "extra." You NEED this. ... show more

  • It works, but it's REALLY hard to get it on the chair
Style: Chair Zero
I have other cheaper pads for hiking chairs that are easy to slip on. THIS pad... which is actually made by Helinox FOR the chair... is insanely hard to get on the legs.

  • 5 star for quality - 3 star because of its weight
Style: Chair Zero
5 star for quality 3 star for weight Itโ€™s built well but unfortunately itโ€™s heavier than I expected. No sense of going ultra light and then adding the weight back on. Was hoping for a much lighter foot print. Youโ€™re better off saving money and buying a knock off chair from Amazon

  • Works well on sand
Style: Chair Zero
Went on a backpacking trip in Nordhouse Dunes in Michigan, and bought this because my chair has always sank in the sand. This works really well, and doesn't weigh much at all!

  • Improves stability, but...
Style: Chair Zero
This is not a third party product - it is a Helinox product - but it feels like it is too small for this model. Attaching this the legs of my chair is really hard, and I'm concerned that it is putting too much lateral pressure on the aluminum legs. After using it several times, I'm not sure why it needs to be so tight - making this a bit larger would make it easier to install and remove, and would still add the stability needed in sandy or muddy soil. ... show more
