I was leary about buying this after reading a bunch of reviews about it but it's really cold and it was originally bought for my dog in mind. She's a Papillon and gets cold easy. The first time I used it "I" used it because after reading the reviews I wanted to know if it worked. It's been below zero here lately so great time to try it... I put the blanket over my legs and plugged it in, immediately it helped the cold, its a nice blanket, it did warm up a bit but not what I expected it to. It's certainly not nearly as warm as my one in the house but it does get quite comfortable. It takes a bit to warm up but being so cold that's understandable I guess. It certainly does help knock the edge off the cold though without even being plugged in. I don't shiver and shake anymore. The fleece blanket is a really nice blanket with or without heat. It does warm up rather well, I don't think it needs to be much warmer... me... I'd prefer it as warm as I could because I'm a real cold person anyhow, we're talking fleece lined leggings under pants, extra sox, shirt, sweatshirt, coat, hat, mittens. But with just sweatpants on it kept me nice and toasty. I had it on today and over me, my dog was shaking cold so she came and sat on the blanket. Her shivers quit and she didn't wanna get off the blanket. It will be just fine for us and I'm very happy with the purchase. We will not go cold anymore! ... show more

This blanket works great. No issues at all. I like that you can place it in your lap or on the floor for a foot warmer. Many RV's can have cold floors in the morning. It is nice how this unit works. Plug it in and drape it over yourself, it starts to warm and stays that way. I like it!

This isn't something to write home about, it is nice and works. Cons: It is thin (but is warm as a blanket) Can feel the wires in the blanket (doesn't really bother me) Doesn't heat up super fast. Doesn't get crazy warm. You NEED to unplug it when you leave the car 🙄 I have a major squirrel brain at times. Pros: Soft and can be used as a regular blanket Easy to spot clean Size is very decent, it is not very small. Think throw blanket size. Gets the job done. If you want something that is going to work fast and get HEAT then you will probably have to spend the money to get something nicer. But for how much it costed and just needing a little extra wormth in the cold weather this is not a bad product. It could also be my car outlet/lighter that doesn't have the greatest strength and I have yet to try it in another vehicle. ... show more

I saw a few reviews saying it doesn't get very hot, that is not a problem at all. There is no temperature controler on this blanket, it's perfect for car use; because honestly if I'm on the road and using this thing I don't want to have to worry about it getting too hot.

I bought this as a trial for my minivan camper. I've only used it once at the Grand Canyon where it got to 32 overnight. I plugged this in to my solar battery at 12:30 and unplugged it at 5:30. No on-off switch (I've since installed my own inline). It used about 3.5 amps or about 42 watts continuously and it kept me quite warm. Very doable for even a small power station. I had it under a blanket over top of my sheet. It is quite thin and the wires do not make it stiff nor do they feel obtrusive. Overall size is adequate. I'm very happy with it. ... show more

Really wanted to love it, it heats up and plugs in easy. No issues with functionality, but I'm giving a 1 star because of exposure to toxic chemicals. The fabric has an oily but tacky feel, definitely very noticeable on the skin after you touch it and there per the use and care instructions, the fabric should never be washed. Ok you just sold me a blanket that has a nasty and concerning chemical from the manufacturing process and I can't wash it. It also comes full of BPA warnings, this seems more like a hazard to your health. Great idea, but just crappy manufacturing. Please steer away from this product and buy a higher quality, better manufactured one. ... show more

Bought this as an emergency blanket but does not get really warm. Only worked when the car was running. If my car is running, I have the heater to keep me warm and don’t need this blanket. Nice design and size, soft material. Just not useful for what I’m need so I’m retuning it.

I live full-time in my van and use this every winter. I plug it into my solar generator at night. On low it’s about 42W and on high it’s about 53W. I use it on low and can’t have it on very long because I get too hot. For those who think it doesn’t work very well it might be that they don’t have a blanket on top of it and it’s not closer to their body. If it’s in the air, it doesn’t stay as warm as it does if it’s against something or someone. One thing I don’t like about it is the fact that it’s not very wide I can’t tuck it in on each side of my body. By the way, I’m presently sitting in my drivers seat huddled in this blanket and it’s 29 degrees (it’s been worse). I’ve bought this one 3 years ago and just came to buy another one. I see that the cord length is longer now than it used to be and that’s a great thing. I can’t understand why people return them. I bought at least three from different sellers and I’ve never had a problem (except someone steals them). Sellers of all electrical items: why is it so hard for you to put the wattage electrical items use? Every kitchen appliance that isn’t stated on the description or package I have to open up to see. ... show more
