I am a prepper. I am on grid now, but ready to go off grid instantly. My. 2 5 foot freezeres are ready to run on mty solar setup. One for food, one for bliogks of ice for home made air conditioners. Lamps are all usb 5 watt led, powed by 111 watt hour rechargeable power banks. Heat is by woodstove. So I bought one of these in January and tested it for a month. Worked perfectly, so I bought another in February. They work aas advertised, are VERY quiet...with the compessor...SECOP...which Iceco uses. Five year compressor warranty. So now I have qwhat was missing....refrigeration and at a great price. If or when poop is in the wind, we wll get by...and if neccessary...for a long time, I am thinking about getting one more of these. THANKS FOR A GREAT PRODUCT, ICECO! ... show more

The fridge feels high quality. Controls feel good and cools fast. I had to return it because it’s hard to pass it through the rear door on the Honda passport. There’s probably 1/2” clearance. It’s too tall to store in the bed with a tonneau cover(most fridge are too tall). The inside divider has no storage option like Glacier from another brand. I prefer a wide-side like the VL45 Pro opening than this longitudinal door opening. Hard to access from the front seat or re stock from the door. It they fix this problem I will switch my VL45 to this. ... show more

I bought it because I loved the look of it 😍 I love it because it exceeded my expectations. I've taken 3 road trips so far, Cali to Arizona, Cali to Reno twice. All trips in the summer, Arizona was brutally hot, I have a Chevy Avalanche and the fridge was in the back and it was HOT 🔥. I powered it 2 ways, Solar and backup car battery. While driving my backup car battery connected to a Timeusb 12V24V DC Battery 40amp socket connected via cigarette socket to my Pecron E600lfp keeping it fully charged and then the fridge plugged into the Pecron via AC plug. When stopped I disconnected the car battery connection to the Pecron replacing it with a 120W solar panel. It ran flawless day and night. Currently I'm running it as a spare fridge in my spare room (see pic). This thing is heavy but it holds everything I need, I plan to buy the slider soon and when they make a cover for it I'll buy that too. I may make a video of my setup and post it on YouTube after I do the slider. Really do love this fridge 😍 ... show more

It’s pretty bulky but very rugged feeling. You can sit on it and not worry about breaking it. The dual zone is super nice. It would be epic if they redesigned the lid to hold the divider and more importantly go back to the any direction lids. Those are so nice. The tall one way lid is not as convenient in tight places. It would be a 5 star fridge if it had the any angle lid for sure. ... show more

I was about to buy a second 45qt Alpicool but I happened to see this ICECO refrigerator before I pulled the trigger. I've been using both units for a couple months now and I can say that I'm glad I got this ICECO instead of a second Alpicool. I saw ICECO units when I was shopping for my first portable fridge. They looked great, though they were all priced well outside of my budget. So I was pretty stoked to see an ICECO offering priced in the same ballpark as the Alpicool I thought I would be buying again. The ICECO is far less noisy than my Alpicool when their respective compressors are running. The difference is very significant. I also prefer the ICECO's door latch mechanism and the door itself, even though I've accidentally yanked the door off while lifting it more than once. The strap handles are an interesting choice. My fridge will be spending its life on a shelf, so the straps don't bother me. I've also noticed that there appears to be a discrepancy between the temp control setpoint and the actual temp of the fridge interior, i.e., I have to set the temp on the display several degrees below where I actually need it. It would be nice if there were some kind of calibration/offset procedure for fixing this but it's not a big deal to me. I love this refrigerator and I appreciate that ICECO is selling a fridge that happened to fall within my budget. If I end up getting a third portable fridge, it will undoubtedly be another one of these. ... show more
