People rate these 12v heating blankets harshly, but what I got is fine. Yes, the plug gets hot. It's working hard. The blanket gets warm and eases my aging hips and back. It's warm enough. I would not want it to get hot, I just need to take the edge off the cold gel seat in the semi truck as it takes 40 min to really warm up. I am glad I bought this blanket. It is versatile. I can fold it long ways to cover the seat or lay it in the sleeper to warm the bed before I crawl in to sleep. ... show more

I bought this for my son for super early mornings when things are super cold. It takes a while to warm up and unless a heavy blanket is placed on top, it isn't very warm. It’s not incredibly soft, and it isn't easy to clean. Its perfect little kid size, but wouldn't wrap around an adult comfortably. Id probably suggest getting something else ... show more

I work a lot of doubles and I go to my car on breaks. I use this blanket for my car naps and it does the job. And since my car is old, I also use to it warm up on the cold winter mornings.
