This works great. I have plugged into outlet and it doesn’t take long to get cold maybe 45 mins to an hour depending on how cold you want it. Fits a lot of stuff. A little heavy but expected since it is like a mini fridge lol but not too heavy for me to carry alone. I haven’t tried it plugged into my car yet. Direcrions are easy as to how to use and I feel a great product it also looks good once it is at a temp it holds that temp no problem ... show more

Used this on a 2 week cross-country road trip to keep food cold and it worked very well. I had it plugged into my Ecoflow Delta 2 and it kept our food cold day and night. For anyone who wants to know how much this draws: 100% charged Delta 2 will keep this running at 37° in Eco mode for roughly 2 full days in variable temperature conditions. 80° during the day and 40-70° at night were my conditions. I noticed that when I had this in the bed of my truck and were driving through much hotter climates like Oklahoma and Texas it kicked on A LOT more often so keep that in mind. I ended up moving it into the backseat of my truck with the Delta 2 and it definitely ran more efficiently. The fridge pulls anywhere from 42-51 watts when the compressor is running and I completely removed the little white cage they give you to make more room for food and bottles. On the last day of our road trip the fridge had turned off at some point and I didn't notice it until I got home. Not sure what went wrong but I plugged it into a wall outlet in my house and it spun back up again so I guess we'll see if it was a battery issue or a fridge issue. I would definitely recommend this over a big expensive cooler for extended camping. ... show more

Worked awesome (no more hauling ice or draining coolers!) Works same in economy mode or regular. Have 2 set power battery packs to help off grid, along with generator to charge. So awesome! Used as freezer kept solidly frozen. Also used at home as fridge when power outage to home. Temp control is easy and similar to home fridge and freezer. Can only use one at a time. Worked great for us. Sturdy well built with nice led light. Not to heavy, takes up minimal room in camper. Very happy! ... show more

I debated on giving this a five because it's really a well-made nice freezer cooler. It is a little bit heavy to lift empty. It maintains zero temperature even in very hot weather outside. I use it for camping. The storage compartment isn't real large so space is limited. You have to be careful that you don't put something in the little compartment that you want to keep frozen because it doesn't stay frozen. In the main compartment though it stays thoroughly frozen. I also used it as a refrigerator and it worked well. Temperature control is digital so you can set it where you like. I do know larger sizes are available and I wish I would have paid the extra money and gotten a larger one. ... show more

I purchased an AJ40 Setpower 12v frig in Feb 2021. It fits nicely in my RV, running continuously without any problems or issues. In my view, it has set the standards for overall well build, enduring over time even in RV temps well in the 90's at times (I also placed insulation around it during summer heat), The frig door held up so far, feeling a little loose at times as it may need an adjustment from extensive use. The internal temperature remains accurate and reliable. This was my first time purchasing a 12v frig. Never been happier. Customer service can be described as way above standard. When the frig door handle broke off, Setpower responded promptly the first call an explained the process to replace it. Secondly, when an error code appeared on the readout screen, they walked me thru resetting the frig and it continues to work fine since. I wish I purchased controlled temp compartments (regular temp/freezing side), maybe next time. Finally, the purchase price was in my range. They have very competitive prices along with 3 year warranty gives you a head start in deciding on what to get. Do your research and put Setpower in the top 5 choices on your list. ... show more

The door handle inner hooks holding down springs on the door handle broke off. Second, an error number on the screen appeared and the frig shut down. Customer service person walk me through resetting the machine and turned back on immediately. They will also send a replacement handle. This product is solid and reliable despite the two issues. I recommend making the tiny plastic hook clamps out of metal or something similarly strong. Best about this company is immediate customer service with solutions. If you're a first time buyer or experienced buyer of a 12v frig, put setpower in your research.

I bought this after reading other reviews, and I’m not disappointed. I make an 8hr road trip to visit my parents often. I like to take them home cooked meals to put in their freezer, but I worry that a cooler alone might not keep things cold enough, or frozen. This cooker/refrigerator gives me peace of mind that the food will travel well and maintain the proper temperature. Yesterday the trip took 8 1/2 hrs. I had filled it with frozen soup, and when I arrived it was still frozen. Attaching the handles was easy and operation is very straight forward. It has a chart inside the lid with temp settings for different types of food, and you can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. This has been a great purchase. ... show more

Still rather new but we were very pleased with the food and drinks we were able to pack and how consistent it maintained the temperature in our car and in our hotel rooms. We used it in our van and kept it close behind our seats for easy access. The cords were easy to use and switch out depending on how it was used. It cooled down quickly and we were impressed even using on Eco mode. Hopefully, it remains reliable and performs as it did on our first long vacation. The only thing we didn't like was moving it since it is fairly heavy, but then, most coolers are when you have them filled with food, drinks and ice. ... show more
