Obviously this isn't the cheapest option available but we are happy with it. We have been using it to keep our nursery warmer than the rest of the house at night this winter. This heater is extremely useful for this purpose because it regulates itself with its own thermostat. It will operate at high power if necessary but will generally switch on and off at lower power to maintain a steady temperature. Our home's furnace runs on a schedule that allows the house to cool significantly at night before warming again around the time we get up. With this space heater we don't have to worry about continually making adjustments to make sure the temp in the nursery is correct.(as we would have to if it was like most other space heaters with a simple knob or low-med-high settings.) All in all we are quite happy with the product. A few observations: The heater sits on the floor and so obviously its thermostat reads the temperature close to the floor. (typically a lower reading) The thermometer on our baby monitor consistently reads higher than the one on the heater, but that really isn't an issue so long as they are consistent. (we just set the thermostat on the heater a few degrees lower than we want the room) This heater has a fan to circulate air through itself. This allows the heater to more effectively heat large spaces. (It claims to be capable of heating ~1,000 sq ft, which I can't vouch for) The fan is quiet but it is audible. The heater also makes some clicking noises when it kicks on and off. The heating element glows red in operation... this heater actually puts out quite a bit of light, particularly when running on high. The light/warmth are pleasant but if you want things pitch black be aware that this heater doubles as a night-light when on. (which means intermittently off and on if it is set to maintain a temperature) The heater's shell is primarily plastic but it feels solid and durable. It sits on four legs close to the ground and would be very difficult to tip over. There is a handle at the top for easy movement and it is not heavy. ... show more

This review is for the model MS-1500-IMO Mojave. Mine is 12x12x16 @ 11#. The bullet points above say it has built-in casters. This heater does not have built-in casters. I bought this heater in Oct. 2015 from Amazon for additional heat in a 17x22 foot room with 10 ft. 6 in. cathedral ceiling which has one 10 ft. and one 6 ft. base-board heaters. In the fall l use it to take the chill off ( no base-board ). In the winter l use both. This heater has a high and low speed fan. Rarely will I use the high setting. On low it is amazingly quite. And on high it is quite while producing much more heat. It also has 2 air filters-- one on each side-- KEEP THEM!CLEAN ! This heater draws a lot of air. All environments are different so take your time setting the thermostat. The remote control is a nice plus and works perfectly. For pet owners ( and parents with children ) This heater is safe. No part of this heater surface - sides - back - top - front ( Excluding the front exhaust area ) get hot or even close to hot. I have two cats. My young one lays in front with paws in contact -- my senior citizen ( 15 yrs. ) stands, sits and lays on The Top of this heater when on. ( was a little concerning then ) This heater also has an aroma feature. My cats excepted it as a warmed up toy ( Parents -- your thoughts ) Needles to say I do not use that feature. ( alternative -- use a cotton ball w/extract -- placed next to the filterss ) Q/A have asked about energy efficiency -- cost -- bills. Hard for Me to speak on this. I've only had This heater for 10 months What I can say is I use this heater in the fall w/o bace-board and in the winter with bace-board and in that short time my electric bill has not increased. I have more heat with no extra cost . In October 2015 I paid $160 for this good design and well-built heater. My last heater was very quiet but not as effective. This will keep an even temperature throughout the entire room 24'x22' no problem but you will know when its on and circulating air. Very Light, I can carry it with my pinky finger and I have never used the remote because it keeps such an even temp. Very effective heater ... show more

I LOVE THIS HEATER!!! :D It keeps me warm. It's lightweight & cheap on electric bill. I live in a small 3 room house. Most of the winter, in upstate South Carolina, this is my sole heater. I do wear sweats or long john pants & long sleeve shirts; and use several blankets. I'm cool with that. :D Sometimes when it dips into the teens or 20's, I'll supplement with a small table space heater. It's a great buy! I want to buy a 2nd one for a backup. ... show more

Works Great 👍😊😀 I thought it was going to be smaller than what it is it's a nice size very powerful quiet two modes.. now because the regular mode I'm guessing sucks a lot of juice it pulls my switch so I have to use the other mode which is the energy saving mode which works great by the way it just makes it blow on low all the time now everything works just fine other than the thermostat it reaches the temperature I set it to and it will go past it.. or it gets stuck at a certain temperature and I have to go past a in order for the thermostat actually start working in register the actual temperature in the room the controller right off the bat one button came off the first time I used it so what I did was hooking it up to a smart plug with Alexa because since the thermostat doesn't want to work it gets too hot can't turn it off with the remote due to the button but it works great with Alexa with a smart plug other than that I am very happy with the heater very powerful I'm just sure this one was defective I actually would buy it again ... show more
