The parts printed with this have been strong and smooth with very little need for sanding. Any need for touch-up is probably because of other factors (filament flow, resonance, temperature, pressure advance). Adhesion to the plate is excellent. I had an issue with cracks at some layers; some prints had to be repeated a few times; thought it might be the filament; that's why I bought this. Turned out the filament feeder was missing a screw, the other screw was loose and the feeder was bobbing up and down while extruding and retracting. I'm building a large format printer and one of the design specifications is printing on an unheated bed. What little I could find to read on the subject of course tells the reader to get high quality PLA filament. Why test with less a top shelf product? It does works very well for the intended purpose but so do my cheap PLA filaments. I probably won't buy any more as long as I can spend almost half the price and get the same quality of output from the printer. Bottom line for me, Good stuff but not worth the price. ... show more

Edit: After learning more about the setting in the slicing software, I found that the stringing is due to retraction settings. This filament has been great! I am very new to 3d printing. I purchased the true pink color filament for printing some earrings for my daughters. The first roll of filament I used when I got my printer was black pla from hatchbox, and I had no issues with it. For some reason this roll of pink seems to print kind of stringy. Bed was level, and I tried adjusting the nozzle temps, but it kept dragging stringy material between stops. It still printed nice, it just left a lot of stringy material between pieces that had to be trimmed off. Overall I'm pretty happy with it. ... show more

I live in HUMID Florida and this is by far the best! PLA filament that i have ever used! I have a bambu P1P for reference and I also have used Bambu PLA. My personal go to is always going to be Hatchbox PLA from here on out. Don't get me wrong, I love Bambu PLA, but it is not fast to get here and with Hatchbox PLA being on Amazon and also Prime? You seriously cant go wrong. My house is older and not sealed the greatest so my humidity level on the daily is about 48% to 56% and i have NEVER had any adhesion issues or any breakage. I do not use dryers and i keep my used spools in an airtight box thats about it. ... show more

Close friend of mine who is a design engineer had me switch over to HatchBox years ago and i have never gone back to any other brand. I have never had any issues with their PLA, ABS, or other materials. They extrude extremely well, are very consistent with their thickness, and i have even had rolls left on my printer for several months and yet they still kept out moisture and printed perfectly. I absolutely love their matte finish PLA. When your printer is well tuned the layer lines are nearly invisible. If you spray paint your 3D prints the coloring they use for their materials doesnt cause any running. I've sprayed other filament from different manufacturers and the PLA color tends to bleed into the primer but not with hatchbox. All around one of the best filament brands out there. ... show more
