I received a 3D printer as a gift. This printer IS NOT one of the popular ones it's more of a "crafty" one. I have had nothing but problems with it that even their tech department cannot seem to get me through and in fact in my second printer as they replaced the first one (that could be an entire other review). THIS FILAMENT WORKS GREAT! I have tried many many filaments including the "branded" one that matches the printer. I have had nothing but issues. I feel somewhat of a "google 3D printing issue scholar" at this point. Funds are not avail to replace printer so I went in search of a better filament. OMG this stuff is amazing. From the loading to the very first print this filament amazed me. I print cookie cutters for personal use and was having MAJOR issues with the quality of the "wall" of the cutter. Went through every setting suggested and then some with no luck. But with this filament I am having the best success I have had in over a year! (using the HATCHBOX 1.75mm True Blue PLA ). I can only imagine how it will perform when I save up enough for the Ender I have my eye on! This filament may save my sanity until that day arrives!!! Would HIGHLY recommend! ... show more

I use this filament in my Creality Ender 3 with FatDragon Cura settings. It produces the best quality I have seen from anything in the price range. The quality can be near resin-like in an inexpensive printer with adjustments to your print settings. It can do fine work such as feathers on 28mm minis and is strong enough that I have printed handles with it. Colors are always as pictured, the spools are wound neatly without any twisting or tension and the whole product is just well thought out. Even simple things like holes to tuck the end in are evenly spaced around the spool, within reach regardless of where you have to snip the filament short. Coming from a slightly less expensive brand and nearly dozens of wasted spools and prints from tangles I decided to stop being cheap. This is my first spool of hatchbox and it turned my obsession of tweaking the printer to get quality to just load and leave. I had 2 500g spools that came along with the printer, and this one from Hatchbox blew them out of the water. To start I am a newbie in the 3D printing world and have only owned my printer less than a month. I was introduced to hatchbox by a friend, whom has been 3D printing for years and has had nothing but good things to say. My first purchases of filament were hatchbox, printed a few trials and I am impressed! As you can see, I have purchased multiple colors of hatchbox filament and have printed some pretty awesome prints, using my creality 5s1 printer. My first big prints were the crystal dragons and as you can tell they are pretty darn cool. The second big print I am in the process of printing is the Eiffel Tower in multiple sections with the bronze hatchbox filament, without supports and with no issues whatsoever ... show more

This is my favorite PLA that you can buy on Amazon. It is a bit more expensive than others but for the print quality it is worth the extra 3-5 dollars. The spools are always nicely wound and I’ve never had a hatchbox roll tangle on me. Just buy this one and save your self the struggles that come with the cheaper rolls of pla on Amazon. ... show more
