Bought this to cook a pot roast for holiday dinner. Doing this freed up the stove for the multitude of other dishes! Was a great idea and execution was flawless. BTW…. The Ree Drummond pot roast recipe was a hit too!

    • It does what I needed
Okay this is my second one as the first was damaged and had to be returned. This one has a very small scrap and dent on the back side of the lid which I never see and does not affect the use of the machine. But wow I was finally able to make homemade chicken noodle soup. And it did a great job. I have also made whole chickens, a pork roast, BBQ ribs, and cannot wait to do a turkey in it. Watch the temperature dial as it is easy to bump and either increase or reduce your cooking temperature. We got this slow cooker to help reduce the amount of energy we use since I do not need to use my stove or oven as much. I love it. It works great. Just not the best packaging job and shipping material for no shipping damages. ... show more

I was skeptical at first now I didn’t know why I never bought one. Get this one cause the liner comes out for easy cleaning. It is bulky for something that is used two times a year but the turkey came out perfect. Highly recommend and brine your turkey first.

    • THIS PIECE OF JUNK JUST RUINED THANKSGIVING
We did a trial run by baking a Butter Ball breast and it took far longer than expected to bring that 5 pound breast to 170 degrees. As a result, we used an oven thermometer to see if the temperature setting on the roaster oven's dial was true--it was not, it was a full 50 degrees off--too low. Thanksgiving was the next day, having company on the way and no alternative to bake the turkey, I turned the dial to 375 degrees in order to set to the desired temp of 325. After three hours without lifting the lid, the oven temp was 150 and the meat temp was 120. I hope there will be a class action lawsuit for all of the $50 turkeys and family gatherings that were ruined by this piece of junk. IT WILL BE RETURNED TOMORROW ... show more
