First the similarity between this 40’dollar unit and the 70 ‘ dollar one is almost identical. The 70$ one is a Lofter . Not available anymore last I checked which is good but it does have cool looks like and old bus from the 40-50’s or is it 60’s ? lol 😂 Issues with the lofter is the long brace that holds the toast . Getting a thicker piece of bread like NY Bagles in there which are tad wide sometimes binds a bit but not bad. What happens is the doing 4 slices there’s no spring support on back side of the lift rack that holds the toast . After a bit they get bent down then you have dig out your toast . Bending back up is a temporary fix . Apparently after a few times the lift racks get weak and that’s the end of that . So far no issues with the new one other then toasting evenness . Heats wires not uniform along the plates .some uneven toasting . The Lofter was worse . How hard is it make a toaster toast evenly? lol 😆 What I like about the Lofter was the end controls you can put the unit anywhere . This unit not so much for me it’s I have it placed to the right of the stove . I prefer it to sit along the counter wall front to back but I’d have move to the right of stove to have access to the controls which I don’t like because it’s just farther away in the sense of convenience. I seem to have the knob turned to at least 4 to get some breads to toast to the level I like sometimes it’s needs more toasting . Not tested it past that point yet . I don’t use the warming rack Guy thing I guess lol The knob definitely needs a white dot on it . I guess we could get a paint pen or little dot sticker to put on it help see it better or any other method you might like to use . Ok that’s it for the Eliite Gourmet ( Elite hahaha that kills me lol 😆) 😊 so three or 4 stars you pic ! ... show more

Excellent big boi toaster for toasting toast. I wish it had a bagel option but ... living in TX means no one can make a good bagel anyways. I really like the warming rack, surprisingly. I thought it was a stupid feature but it just makes sense. The long openings are great for 4 slices at time but I squeeze sub rolls in there and it works fine. The toast settings are accurate to the instruction manual. Defrost works well too. ... show more

this is a sleek, modern looking toaster with extra long and wide slots with a bonus rack that you can lower or raise to hold oversized buns to warm up over the slots. You do need to learn the bread placements whether you are using thick bread or 1-4 slices etc as the position in the two slots are important for best results. with smaller units the bread is already forced into max position, with this unit there is so much room for movement that you can error. its fast. i like that you can remove items easier. the warm function. the rack. some cons: the dial for brown level is black on black. you literally cant see the arrow. should have been in a different color. im going to paint it its a long unit. i wasnt expecting (my bad) how much counter it will take up. its narrow tho and works best abutting a side wall, in that way lessens the counter footprint. ... show more
