Description

For full product details, please visit the product page at nooelec.com! Proudly designed, fabricated and assembled in the USA and Canada! The Ham It Up Nano is an HF upconverter that will allow you to extend the range of your favorite SDR or radio down to 100kHz. It is compatible with any radio capable of 125MHz-190MHz operation (to utilize the entirety of its 100kHz-65MHz frequency range). It is installed in a black aluminum enclosure and includes a male SMA to male SMA connector and microUSB to DC adapter. It is important to note that some SDRs will have their ESD protection diode tripped when powering this product via USB. You can still use this item with these SDRs, but you will need to install a DC block between this and the SDR. Features: ✅ Small, light-weight module--just 2.0" x 1.2" x 0.75" (50 x 30 x 18mm) and 1.6oz (45g)! ✅ 3 different powering options: bias-tee, microUSB and DC barrel connector ✅ Contains an internal 125MHz low-phase-noise TCXO w/ 1PPM accuracy for improved sensitivity (away from high-traffic RF zones, like broadcast FM) ✅ Double shielded from external RF interference (EMI) with the external aluminum enclosure and an additional internal EMI shield ✅ A maximum input level of +1dBm ✅ Contains 3 filters--input, output and LO filters--configured with ultra-high quality components for excellent sensitivity and selectivity ✅ ESD protection on both the RF input and output to protect your Ham It Up & SDR from stray static discharge ✅ Reverse voltage protection and short circuit protection on the USB power input to protect your Ham It Up from accidental damage ✅ Ultra low-noise linear power regulator with voltage noise under 10 µVRMS! ✅ Side-mount LED power indicator ✅ Sturdy right-angle 50 ohm SMA connectors used for both input and output ✅ High-quality PCB with ENIG finish ✅ Full 2-year warranty!

  • Great way to get into HF, way better than RTL-SDR direct-sampling
This is my first upconverter, and I'm pleasantly surprised with its performance. Previously, all I had was an RTL-SDR with direct-sampling mode, which was able to get acceptable reception, but only with a very large outdoor antenna hung up in a tree. In comparison with this thing, it's night and day. This can easily catch the same signals with a small indoor antenna, usually with even better SNR. My one complaint is that its local oscillator is not very precise, which makes it harder to tune accurately to SSB signals. It's definitely more than good enough, though, especially for the price. If you want to get into HF, but don't have an SDR that can get down that low, then this is just the thing to get you started. ... show more

  • Works as advertised!!
Installs easily and performs as it should!! Works very well with my SDR device, giving me a much larger coverage of the shortwave bands above 100khz.

  • Works Great
Great upconverter. Does exactly what it's supposed to do with no drama. Has a high-quality case and runs off a 5V bias TV or a micro USB. I love that it has an indicator light so you know it's on before you start up an SDR program.

  • Gonna order Nesdr biastee and DC Block and repost review...
The media could not be loaded. For two years I thought my HamItUp nano was defective. All that missed fun, dang. Then I smartened up and purchased a DC Block from Nooelec and installed. Powered nano with micro usb. This thing works excellent! The support from Nooelec is excellent, but only when applied! ... show more

  • Lab Tested: Completely Non Functional!
I paid 60% more for this defective product than for my RTL-SDR. Apparently I was unlucky and got a dead unit. But if they don't test them before shipping then you may get a dead one also. So be Warned. After using I was suspicious. I connected my Sig Gen with 13.7 MHz at 20mV. Using my scope as a Spectrum Analyzer there was no signal at 125MHz +-13.7MHz. Not even leakage from the 125 MHz Osc measured with a -118dBu noise floor. The LED works for Bias-T and USB power. I will NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER nooelec product. ... show more

  • Paint comes off easy.
Does exactly what you want it to. It's a little sensitive to noise, but such is life for wide band items. red paint labels will be gone in a week of use.

  • It's not worth your time or money! It's utterly user unfriendly and quite frankly GARBAGE!
It's not worth the frustration! Buy something more user friendly! The company that sells them don't care about real customer service! These products are just a ridiculous rabbit hole to go down! To properly enjoy anything like sdr tech, you're either going to have to just settle for the original RTL-SDR dongle v3 and enjoy what it can do or fork out a bit more money for a portable sdr radio that does it all stand alone because buying this, that, and the other and then maybe this next thing and the next and yadda yada yada, is just simply a shameful scam! Even if it does what it says it does, it's so difficult getting it configured and up and running, not to mention the bad connection issues and software crashes....it's just not bleedin worth it!! ... show more
