UPDATE: I wrote a very positive review after trying it for just a few days. Nine days later, I've changed my opinion. After three days I woke up nauseous to the point of actually vomiting. I didn't make the connection between my nausea and the Bio Complete 3. Thought it was from taking a morning med on an empty stomach. I didn't take the Bio for the next day or so and then cut back to 1 a day. A week later, I'm still nauseous and have added constipation, bloating, headache and a REALLY bad case of the blahs [this despite our Ohio weather has been fabulous!] Today I received an email from Amazon with a potential customer question. was this gluten free? I decided to check out the ingredients. Although it is gluten free, it's given me the same reaction I get with gluten. Now I know why. It has methyl cellulous [also used in eye drops] which causes bloating, microcrystalline [which causes gas, bloating, depression, forgetfulness, lack of energy, and headaches], and maltodextrin [which is a sugar substitute that has tons of articles debating whether it's safe or not]. BOTTOM LINE: I just threw my Bio Complete 3 out. It may work for some [Dr. Gundry's video was convincing]. But I've just wasted a week of my life...which makes me very sad...but optimistic that I will now recover. HOLD ON....THERE'S MORE...I decided to check my other 3 highly recommended supplements to see what they contained. It turns out all contain some form of synthetic ingredients that improve the capsule, but are not related to the purpose of the supplement. The FDA labels many of these as GRAS [generally recognized as safe although my perception is that they have not been tested and the FDA lists certain guidelines to follow. I am beginning to question if taking multiple supplements is exceeding the FDA's guidelines for GRAS. I've been experiencing some strange and unexplained development of joint and muscle stiffness. I'm wondering if there is a connection. Just thought I'd pass this along. ... show more

I took Bio Complete 3 because of bloating after every meal and being overweight. Due to being overweight was the main reason for starting Bio Complete 3. A few days of medication, l developed explosive diarrhea, to the point l was afraid to leave home. I continued on with the medication but changed the dosage to one pill in the morning instead of two pills. My diarrhea was much milder but then my stomach hurt so bad l thought l was experiencing a heart attack. Pain going down both arms, chest pain and fatigue. My daughter gave me two Tums and l laid down until the pain went away. Most of all l stopped taking, Bio Complete 3. It’s been 3 days since stopping Bio-Complete 3 and l feel better. My Cardiologist said, never take medication not approved by the the FDA. ... show more

About 2 months after taking 1 pill per day my stomach pains disappeared my bowl movements became solid. I also avoided coffee. The only negative is that I have no appetite I don’t care about losing weight. I can only eat 3 bites & then it’s a turn off.

At the end of the day I think the marketing around this is kind of scammy. I decided to try this, I normally take a probiotic but have a lot of food noise and was hoping this might help. I have not noticed any benefits or improvement over what I was previously taking. It has not helped with digestion or regularity. The capsules are huge and smell terribly of fermented cheese. Not to mention the price is kind of high and has been increasing with every shipment.
