Was quite skeptical about this product, read all the reviews. Before I bought this I was struggling with menopausal hot flashes. It’s now a week and every single night I have used the pad I have slept like a baby. Full 8 hours of deep rested sleep. Or slumber. If there are any health benefits it’s all in the sleep process! The media could not be loaded. It does something, watch the video. When grounded to the mattress cover it shows zero, then when my husband touches one end but not the mattress cover it goes to .040s, then when he touches the mattress cover his current goes to .500s, big difference! Also, touching the cover directly (no sheet), but closer to the outlet, it goes up to the .900s! And thats only in the first seconds, not after sitting on for a while. When touching the sheet over the cover, it cuts the current in half to .250s, so the sheet does make a difference. We just got it and havent slept on it yet, will update. Its very thin like a sheet in its own right, except with a faux leather feel. I will include some still shots from the video (all while touching the black prong to the mattress cover). First one of the grounding without touching the red prong (0.000). 2nd one touching the red prong but no physical contact of body to mattress cover (0.044). 3rd, touching red prong and hand on sheet thats over mattress cover (0.240). 4th, touching red prong and touching hand directly to the earthing mattress cover (0.995). UPDATE** nearly a year of sleeping on this thing and I can never turn back. (I also have a grounding pillow case, generic from amazon, for traveling). I have bad arthritis in my neck and lower back although I'm a woman in her 20s I have a condition that causes the joints to break down. Before this mat, I would dread going to sleep because the mornings would be the most painful time for me. Some days I'd wake up crying in pain. I went to the chiropractor every 2 weeks for the past 6 years (sometimes I couldn't last the 2 weeks and had to go in sooner). Well ever since I bought this mat I haven't been to the chiro ONCE. NOT EVEN ONCE. From biweekly just to survive, to nearly a year with no chiro. Honestly I've saved a small fortune with this thing at this point. About 4 months in one day I woke up not feeling super great (I would usually LOOK FORWARD to going to sleep because the relief happens within seconds of landing on the mat, and by morning I'd feel amazing). So it was strange to me when I didn't have a rejuvenated feeling one morning. Thinking, is this actually a placebo that's wearing off now? Then the next morning I felt even worse, I felt achy when I woke up. I was taken aback. I right away checked the bed to make sure it was plugged in, because I was feeling nothing! When before, I would feel relief instantly when just being on the mat. Well when I checked, turns out one of my small children unplugged the bed!! That was a blind experiment that really solidified the benefits of this thing. A similar situation happened with my grounding pillow since then, where I didn't "feel the magic", and I check and it wasn't plugged in. If I'm having a particularly achy day where I pushed myself too hard that day or did too much physical exercise, then I will sleep directly on the mat, as the relief is strong and instant. But for daily use I sleep on a fitted sheet over the mat and that does just fine. The first few months I had to sleep every night directly on it to I guess heal my body. But once I got to a point where I was not in pain easily throughout the day, then I started sleeping on the sheet for maintenance, but I also use a grounding pillow sheet so there's that. We (me, my husband, and our 2 small boys) all share a king bed so we get sweaty if sleeping directly on it the mat. I'd be fine and not get sweaty with it if it weren't for all the other people. Pro tip: the first couple nights are gonna make you have crazy dreams, I guess it's all the built up energy finally escaping. and if you use a grounding pillowcase only and no mat, all the energy is only escaping through your head, so you will have very vivid, lucid dreams. Multiple times in my dreams I have thought please let this be a dream, please let this be a dream, this isn't a dream! When in reality, it was a dream. That's only happened when I have used a pillowcase and no mat, and only in the beginning, now I can use either and it doesn't happen, I guess now that my energy is balanced and not all built up. ... show more

    • This is a good quality product
This mat is good and I trust it because it comes from this company (this is the original earthing product I believe). I got a tester for it and it works. Earthing has changed my life for the better. I am a sensitive person who always craves the outdoors and since I became an adult and spent less time outdoors, I began to feel like something was missing I was angry stressed and worn out and depressed and anxious and fatigued. Every day felt like a monumental task. My burnout lasted for many years and I was losing hope for recovery. I bought this product on impulse because I saw it and my body just told me this is what I needed for some reason. I have used it for 3 weeks now and I feel so much better. I have energy like I haven’t had in years. My mood is much better. I have experienced some trauma in the past and I noticed this mat helped calm my nervous system down. I never thought I’d get relief from the aftermath of the trauma I’ve been through, but I think my body just needed to reconnect to the earth. This product is so awesome I want everyone to use it. My stress levels are getting lower and lower by the day. I’m actually enjoying life now. I feel so much more relaxed and I sleep better now. Thank you to Clint Ober for creating this product.     • Good idea but, unfortunately, practically useless.

We really wanted to believe that this product would do what we wanted to do: provide a good grounding connection for our bed. Regrettably, we allowed the return date to slip by still trying to figure out how we could get it to do the job it was supposed to do. Unfortunately, that was not possible. Putting this product on top of the normal bedsheet will work but is clearly not practical once the weather gets warmer. There is no good way to clean it. It cannot be laundered. And simply waking it off from time to time will result in a disgusting mess a few months into a warm summer. Putting it under the sheet simply trades one problem for another. Notwithstanding the claims that the moisture on one's own body in warmer weather would dampen the top sheet enough to create a good electrical connection sounds plausible but no matter how much we warmed ourselves up it simply did not work. So the bottom line is that we end up with $250 worth of product the simply can't deliver on its promise. We are not at all happy with it and cannot recommend it to anyone.
