  • Works Very Well and Easy To Use - Light Weight and Good Battery Life
Size: 21" Mower (Tool Only)
5/26/2016 Update: I have been using the mower for almost a month and am still very happy with my purchase. I was able to mow my yard 5 times before charging the 4AH battery for the first time and it was fully charged in less than 60 minutes. The lawn looks great and the mower does a great job even as the lawn gets thicker after going through the spring fertilization. The motor will rev up in higher grass but I have had no issues cutting through the taller grass. It is nice to not have to deal with gas or oil and just push the button and pull the handle back to start. I continue to be happy with my purchase and strongly recommend this model if you want a quiet and light weight electric mower. Original Review: I am very happy with this purchase so far and I have used it to mow the lawn twice now and it worked very well. I have a very small yard so I have been able to mow the yard twice and the battery is now down to two status lights versus three so I should easily be able to get 4 uses before recharging. I was lucky to make this purchase as well as the chainsaw and charger/4ah battery during a deal of the day special so I am very happy with my purchase. It does a great job cutting the grass and the mower is very light and stores easily. I am in the process of cleaning and setting up new storage options in the garage and am looking at options to hang this on the wall for the winter. It is nice to not have to deal with gas/oil or challenges starting for the first mowing of the Spring. You can just push the start button and pull back the handle and it is off and running. I do like the one handle height adjustment and it works very well for quick adjustments versus my old mower where each wheel had to be adjusted independently. I was worried at first about the incline in my front yard and not having a self propelled option but it is so light and easy to use that you really don't need a self propelled option. I am not sure how well it will work in the Fall when I have leaves to deal with but so far it has cut through the grass without any issues and the motor does rev up in higher grass but still cuts right through it. I do think if the grass is exceptionally high after a good rain or if I miss cutting it for a few days longer than normal that I might have to adjust the deck up and do two passes but given the limited grass that I have to mow I don't think that will be an issue. So far I am very happy with the purchase and I will update the review later in the season after more use. ... show more

  • Get a charge out of mowing your lawn!
Size: 21" Mower (Tool Only)
This is a great cordless mower - very powerful and the battery lasts about 45 minutes, as they claim, unless it's heavily taxed. I bought this mower because this past winter, just as we in the northeast began to see "The Return of the Polar Vortex," I bought the cordless snow blower from the same company, which uses the same powerful 80 volt battery and charger. Given that the battery and charger cost well over $100 themselves, the combined purchase of the snow blower and the lawn mower seemed to make it worthwhile. The mower is a little heavier than some other cordless or corded electric mowers, but really cuts well, even through thick damp grass. I can mow my yard in about 30 minutes, and when done, the charger light indicators suggest the battery still has about half the charge left. The snow blower also is very powerful. I blasted through several 6-8 inch snow clearing jobs on my perhaps 200-foot long driveway in about 20 or so minutes. Once with a wet 10-inches of snow, the battery died just as I was finishing up. I was amazed at how well it plowed through the heavy wet snow. This was the only company I found that makes battery-powered yard equipment with an 80-volt battery. Most are 40-volts or less. Those may work fine for mowing small yards and clearing snow from smaller driveways. But the 80-volts of power make a difference with heavy snow and high, wet grass. A final comment; while it's not practical for many people to get by with an electric mower or snow blower, I took a chance and found that I could. It much more pleasant to do these chores with machines that are relatively quiet, odorless and non-polluting, start right up, and don't require filling and storing cans of gas in my garage. ... show more

  • It's time!
Size: 21" Mower (Tool Only)
The time to purchase cordless mowers is here. Battery tech has come so far and I'm happy to say that this mower does not disappoint. It performs as expected and the quality of the cut is exceptional. It's impressively quiet, not whisper quiet, but I swear it's quieter than our Dyson V6 cordless vacuum and that's not turning a 20in blade! Now to the battery tech, lithium ion batteries are fantastic and the quick charge time allows them to be a perfect mate for a lawnmower because you can keep mowing with little downtime. The 30min charge time for the 2Ah battery is amazing considering that the charge is enough for most people to cut their yards and if it's not, there's always the 4Ah battery (I bought one). Now using this mower myself I can say that I have no regrets on my purchase, but there are some small imperfections I'll mention; it's a bit on the heavy side, it's not really noticeble unless your dealing with it in uphill situations, but this could also be because I'm using the 4Ah battery which adds a couple of lbs. Also, it uses smart technology to automatically adjust the speed of the motor and blade when it detects thicker/taller grass, but I noticed that also pushing the mower uphill triggers the higher motor speed. Again, none of these are deal breakers and this is overall an amazing machine! And I'll comment on a prior review which mentions you can't leave the battery plugged in the charger, this is not the case. The charger will detect and indicate when the battery is fully charged and shut off to protect the battery. The manual does indicate that if the battery won't be used for over 3 months to store it in a dry place, but other than that your fine leaving it on the charger. I'll never go back to gas mowers! Now I'm waiting on the 80v blower. Pros: Quick charge time Great battery life Shockingly quiet Cons: Might feel heavy to push around for some. Automatic variable motor speed sometime chooses strange times to change speed. ... show more
