I got this for my kiddo at 10 months. He loves it. Brings the book to read... airplane toy matches the one in the book so it helps tie in their interest. Still loves it at 15 months. He runs around with the airplane now spinning the propellar and making airplane noises.

These Green Toys are absolutely the best, hands down! This was my first Green Toys purchase and I was hooked! What's not to love? The minute you recieve one you relize the substantial and durable quality of them. They are easy to clean and I literally can not fathom any saftey hazards whatsoever with these toys (other than if the are used as a projectile, but that is the case with most toys that are not fabric, so obviously if there is a baby in the bunch with some older toddlers or so, you should still have your eyes on the kids). I love that they are all dishwasher safe for sterilizing. We have decided to keep all the Green Toys in a toy box in our main livingroom for 2 reasons. When we have company with children or playmates visiting, they can all just dive into these toys and we don't have the aggravation of my grandson's other toys being dragged out with multiple pieces, and those are not all small child safe, and we can not just throw them in the dishwasher afterwards as we can these. These are literally worry free toys when children are visiting (other than the aforementioned throwing, or maybe banging over the head, so yes you still must parent as we should be anyway). Second, after dinner, when there is just a small window of time for bath and playtime before bed, these are hassle free and the only toys we let him drag out because they are simple and easy pickup. BONUS, they are MADE IN THE USA, and of completely recycled materials. I have not seen that many quality toys like these other than ones made in the 1940's or so, where good craftsmanship (as these are) mattered, even in a toy. We have at least 2 dozen of these toys and they have become an awesome gift item especially when they go on sale, which is often. They are literally the PERFECT toys! ... show more

The greatest toddler gift. He loved it so much, one of his first words was, “plane.” It travels everywhere with him. The book is cute, too!

    • You should probably buy this toy.
If you've made it this far, you should probably just buy this toy. It's great. Really. Great company and a great product. That being said, be forewarned... This airplane is so cute, my 20 month old son absolutely loves this toy. Like, a lot. Like, "you can take my airplane when you wrench it from my clammy toddler rage-fueled death grip" a lot. After "aww"ing for a few hours over how cute he looked toddling around with his new plane, he decided that, yes, airplane DOES need to come in the bath with him. And yes, it also needs to be present for bedtime. I had to wait until the child was deep in slumber before I could slither in and slide it out of his white-knuckled grip. I made an attempt too early and was rewarded with ear piercing screams of agony. When he woke in the middle of the night and toddled into our room looking for Mama, airplane came too! Look, if you've never snuggled a hard plastic airplane in the arms of a determined toddler for 20 minutes, let me tell you... You're not really missing out. ANYWAY, this toy is really cute. We'll probably end up with a whole collection of green toys. I love that they are made in the USA with all recycled materials. The book is really cute too. 5 stars. Enjoy. Obsess. Whatever. Buy it.     • Cute Gift for a Child
This was a gift for a friend's 2 year old who loves vehicles, particularity trains and cars. But he has a ton of those so I thought I'd add a nice handheld plane to his collection. To be honest though, he seems to still enjoy his previous toys more, however I did find this at the bottom of their stairs when I was over recently, so I assume he was "flying" it lol. I also saw him "fly" it when i gave it to him; and I can attest that ,while lightweight, this plane seems quite durable! He has a small dinky plastic helicopter he recently broke the propeller off of; while this thing has been thrown a few times and the propeller (and the rest of it) is A-Ok. The book it comes with is sturdy cardboard and cute; he did enjoy that and had me read it to him a few times. Overall this is a great cute gift set for a small child; just make sure they are into planes. And be careful when you order; check with seller on which colors they actually have. My only critique is I wish it came with a pilot that you could put in the plane on a peg so they wouldn't fall out (like the Little People toys). He put another toy in the plane but it fell out of course when he turned it upside down. ... show more
