This is an adorable and great quality play store! The directions for putting it together were easy to follow, and all of the holes lined up and all hardware was present. It is a great size as well to fit in a play area without taking up too much space. The scanner actually beeps which our kids love. got this on sale and it was an awesome purchase even full price. instructions were so easy and clear, took maybe an hour if that. i picked this over the others because of the working conveyor, calculator, scanner and signature pad. melissa&doug would crush it even more if they made it fully neutral or just other color options. I’ll eventually paint it because the green and red is an eye sore 🤪 but everything is good quality and in working order. my son will love this for years I’m sure! ... show more

When I received this item I just knew I was going to be overwhelmed with the many different parts. But putting this together was the easiest ever and EVERYTHING LINED UP, this was the extra plus. Usually you get things with so many parts and when you get to the middle of putting it together something doesn't line up so now you have to force fit it or something but not with this item. The instructions are easy to follow and the item is a good looking product. The only issue I had was the sign at the very top won't stay inserted but that is minor. If all of Melissa and Doug's products are like this then they have a customer for life. My glamdaughter loves it. ... show more

I purchased this in 2018/2019 when I had just one nephew, and now in 2024 that I have three nephews (and one niece on the way), it has maintained pretty fabulous quality. A few scratches on the card reader and the register belt has had to be reset a couple of time through the years, but overall wonderful. Such an incredible gift and it makes for the most animated play dates when I get to be the cashier. 🤣 ... show more

This is a really nice toy, as expected from Melissa and Doug. Assembly was very easy and fairly quick - about 2 hours. Instructions are clear and the entire thing is very sturdy. I did purchase the recommended extra kit which added all the items at check out, money, and some boxed and canned “foods.” My daughter is going to love this on Christmas morning. I took off one star because the “fresh mart” sign on top didn’t come framed as pictured on the box. I also noticed all the previous reviews had the sign in a sturdy frame that screws into the top. Mine was a flimsy sign that slides into a groove (see pic). To make matters worse, it didn’t fit into the groove when I added the accessory kit. I had to cut around the corners in order to make it work. But it’s still flimsy and will undoubtedly end up on the floor and eventually in the trash. So I am disappointed because this is likely a cost cutting measure which was implemented poorly. They should also update the picture on the box because I spent a lot time going back through all the packaging to look for a frame that wasn’t there. ... show more

My 3yr old absolutely loves this little grocery check out stand-it is very well made and is very detailed, from the movable conveyor belt to the electronic credit card reader and even a functional built in scanner which lights up and beeps each time an item is passed over it. This was definitely a good investment, although my only issue with it is that it's a bit on the smaller side, but then again my daughter is of above average height for her age, other than that this is a fantastic buy! ... show more

I never post reviews, but had to on this one. I purchased this grocery store for my grandkids three years ago and it is still their favorite toy to play with. They are now ages 6, 8, and 10 girls and a boy. It is a pricy purchase when not on sale, but worth it especially if you can catch it on sale. I purchased the separate accessories, including wallets and play money, we already had a grocery cart, the girls like to bring their dolls to the “store” in it. I also added empty clean boxes from real food items and they love scanning those real foods with the “scanner” (it will scan with out scanner codes, just adds to the fun, like the real grocery store). They love this part. Hours of fun for many years making it worth the purchase. I took the younger one with me to the real grocery store when we first got this and she insisted on scanning all the groceries at the self check out, so cute, and she did a super job because she had practice from this set.
