As avid outdoor enthusiasts and RV travelers, finding reliable solar panels for our adventures is paramount. The GRECELL 200W Portable Solar Panel has exceeded our expectations in many ways. First and foremost, the portability of this foldable solar panel is unbeatable. Weighing in at just over 11 pounds and with a slim design when folded, it's incredibly easy to transport and store. The construction of the panel feels sturdy and durable, living up to its promise of being weather-resistant and waterproof. However, setting it up can be a bit tricky due to the four separate panels. While it's certainly manageable, it does take a bit of time to get each panel positioned correctly for optimal sunlight exposure. One minor inconvenience we've encountered is the relatively short, fixed cable with MC-4 connectors. For our RV setup, which utilizes a 200aH LiFePo4 battery system, we found that we needed an extension cable to reach our batteries comfortably. It would be beneficial if GRECELL offered longer cables or included extension options for various setups. The additionally delivered 4 connectors to DC7909/8, XT60, Aviation Connector, Anderson is a benefit, if you want to use it for e.g. a power generator, but we do not use it. In terms of performance, the GRECELL panel delivers solid results. On clear, sunny Nevada-days in mid April, we consistently receive between 130 and 150 watts of peak power output. While this may not be the highest in its class, it's certainly sufficient for keeping our batteries charged and powering our essentials while off-grid. Running Starlink AND charging our house batteries for example is no issue during a sunny day. It's worth noting that we've only been using the panel continuously for about two weeks now, as we are constantly traveling with our motorhome. Therefore, we may provide an update to this review in the coming weeks as we gain more experience with its long-term performance. Overall, the GRECELL 200W Portable Solar Panel has become an indispensable part of our outdoor adventures. Its reliability, portability, and decent performance make it a worthy investment for anyone seeking off-grid power solutions. The media could not be loaded. I do have a 100W solar panel from another brand that has worked great for me to date. I am so impressed by solar panels that I decided to get 200W panels that I can carry while camping or during road trips along with my power station. This product checks all the requirements I had & I would recommend these for harvesting clean solar energy on the go. These can be very useful for emergency needs as when during a blackout. Here is my take after trying this product: Pros: - Very functional product and it does the job that it is supposed to do to generate electricity from solar - 200W 12V/24V capacity is appropriate for most basic to intermediate needs during travel unless you plan to use higher energy equipment - Has multiple safety standards including over-charge protection, surge protection & short-circuit protection - Weather-resistant panels that are IP65 waterproof let you use these outdoors without any worry - Panel has MC-4 connector & 4 connectors (DC7909/8, XT60, Aviation Connector, Anderson) that should cover most of the port needs - Build quality is appreciable as I don't see any issue as of now - Overall the product looks very fancy and modern. Has a sleek aesthetic overall & very lightweight to carry around easily - It has magnetic closure while folding making it a breeze to fold these - Manual leaflet has detailed instructions & is clear and precise - 24 months long warranty provided by the manufacturer showing their confidence in the product - Comes well packed and there was no damage to the product Cons: - There is no USB output in the board of these panels like my older 100W panels have that can be used directly used to charge any USB-enabled device - These are definitely expensive but I see these as one-time investments that will pay out over a period of time - Each of the 4-panel surfaces has an individual kickstand at the back and opening all 4 together sometimes takes a good effort. I wish these had some mechanism to control all 4 kick-stands together ... show more
