Okay, so lets take this step by step. I started by researching this device when I decided I wanted it, as I don't tend to buy things this pricy, in fact, I don't tend to ask my wife for anything, but when I saw it, i wanted it. So after learning its capabilities and a few of the drawbacks, we bought it, as a birthday present for me, and I began using it in November 2021. At first it was great. It ran windows 10, which I upgraded to 11, and it could run MOST of my games, except for one that didn't support it's native resolution while I used the device in handheld mode, but that was okay as I bought the accessories to handle playing games as if the handheld was a desktop. Fast forward to about the end of April, and there was a pop and a familiar smell. The power adapter had burned out. So 5 months, and it died. I reached out to the seller, and didn't have a replacement until a month later due to a "Holiday" and the fact that it had to be bought on ALI EXPRESS. So the adapter wasn't even unique, it was a cheap one from china. A CHEAP ONE. Thankfully my wife's nintendo switch cord fit the bill to charge it while I waited... until nearly the end of May. No further issues until the end of July. One night as I was shutting down I noticed something wrong with it, which you can see in the pictures I'm attaching. The screen and keyboard had jutted out. At first i thought the keyboard had just popped off. Wierd, but Okay, then on examining it, I found it was THERMAL EXPANSION OF THE Battery. Reached out to the seller. He said he'd send me a new battery. Okay, but I couldn't get the screws out. He said send it back to him. Anyone who knows batteries in this state will say it's not safe to send without proper packaging and notice to the shipping company. I told the seller this. No solutions... just "I will send you the battery or send it back". I reached out to amazon. And btw, this went on for WEEKS. They had me ask questions to the seller to try and get this resolved. The seller told me to take it some place to get it fixed. Amazon asked if he would be paying for the repairs. no response. Amazon told me to ship it to them, but after conveying that it had to be done in a certain way, and them setting up a normal method, which could've had me in jail b/c It's a federal crime with a 10 year sentance, I reached out to Asurion. ALWAYS Buy the Extended waranty. Asurion did the shipping right. They sent me special packaging, I shipped it to them. After a couple weeks they finally got to it and determined it was NOT SAVABLE. So, bad power cord, and faulty battery. Dead within a year. I do NOT recommend the GPD Win 3 due to this. As a final note, I'd like to point out something that came with the device: A protection panel that's on top of it when you open it. It's got a message.
