It’s nice to look at, well constructed & the water that trickle down is very soothing for me and it can go for hours with out the need to refill. I got real close so hopefully you can hear the gentle flow but when you’re not right up next to it the sound is just enough that blends into the background. PS I do not use tap water (bottled is best). Only thing I was taken back with was no on/off switch you must unplug unless I’m missing it?! Open for advise :) ... show more

I wished I would have returned this, although small and fits easily on an end table or desk, no matter how many ways I’ve tried adding rock different sizes of rock, cannot get a sound as I believe the 1 inch drop to each level is the problem

I really like this fountain as a whole. It looks nice in my office and was very easy to assemble. It has the perfect noise level on the water. It's just enough to hear the water falling, but not so loud that you feel distracted. With that, there are two issues I have with it. 1. The motor is loud. Specifically, it vibrates the entire unit when it runs. I had to put tissue squares under each corner of the fountain to dampen the noise. 2. There is no power switch. To turn this off and on, you have to plug it in or unplug it ever time. This isn't too bad for my office, but if your plug isn't in a convenient location, it would be a non-starter. Overall, I'd recommend it. I would simply make sure that you are putting it in a place that has good noise absorption and that your plug is easy to reach. It does if you place the stones in the right position. The positioning of the stones has to be just so to get the sound you want.
