I love the hold and durability of this tape. It is very easy to rip with you hands and it holds steadfast. I bought this to repair a tear in my grandkids pool. It worked like a charm! Just be sure to do the repair on a dry pool lining because I am not sure about the application on a wet surface. I know in the description that it says it is waterproof but I did not test that out. I also needed to make a repair to the chrome trim molding that was coming up on the rear of my SUV. I used Gorilla Glue to reattach the chrome trim to the car then I used the Gorilla Tape to hold the strip down until it dried. It worked and did not mess up my car’s paint or leave any sticky adhesive on my paint either. I always have duck tape in my vehicle or around the house but as you know sometimes it leaves that sticky residue on surfaces not Gorilla Tape. So now I will only use this product. This tape is really a good product to use outside - it can hold things up that are a little heavy. I am using it to hold up an outside spotlight receptiacle that was not installed very well. My son will repair it completely when he visits. In the meantime, I was concerned about it holding during a hurricane here in Florida. Fortunately, we missed the worst of it, but had the wind and rain. The receptacle held and I am impressed. Cutting the tape is a little difficult with scissors, but I did it. It would not tear for me like some of the tapes do, but that is OK, it did the job. Will find out the best way to cut for future use. ... show more

I used this tape to patch areas of skirting on my house. I was amazed by how strong its sticking power is. It's also totally waterproof. I can well imagine that it would work to patch roofs. It's difficult to work with and WILL STICK TO YOUR HANDS, so be sure to wear gloves. I didn't try to remove or reposition it, but i think that would be very difficult to do. Bought tape as a temporary solution to the many wholes in the siding of the new house I just bought. About 20. Not sure if mower damage ( throwing rocks) or children. But can’t replace siding right now. Purchased it in lew of FlexTape -white as they were out at my local store. My Experience: Very spiny and difficult to cut ( need a very sharp scissor. Tacky ( sticky) except when wet. Wanted to seal the wholes so rain don’t go in nor insects make it their home ( have wasps making nest inside my siding. ) Used alcohol to wipe areas before applying tape. First 1-3 pieces did not stick well. Maybe area too damp? Rained earlier. Rest seem to adhere. ( we shall see over time if they remain) U fortunately my siding is off while and the tape stands out quite a bit. ( not the fault of tape-) The gray tack side also shows on the edges- which is what I like the least. Makes the sight of the patches even worse. Would prefer the Tacky side to be white as well. So it does not show. So 4stars⭐️ on account of that, as that is a product feature- being bicolor. ... show more

    • Sealed to top edge of a horse trailer - works great - bond is amazing.

This stuff is amazing. I have an all-aluminum horse trailer - and the seam around the aluminum roof and aluminum sides was a 'caulk' that was peeling up - and was all sun baked. The most difficult part of this install was removing all the old caulking. Once removed I laid this tape down and it stuck. Believe me - this stuff sticks like crazy - make sure you lay it on carefully - because it will stick and its hard to pull back up once it sticks. My lines were not very straight on the top of the roof - but I had extra wide tape -so the seam still got completely covered - and I didn't care about perfect straight installs - because it is on a roof and out of site. Its seals immediately. I did this last fall -and it survived winter and sitting out in the sun up to this point - So far so good! ... show more

I remember when this brand only had the glue on the shelves and we were all fascinated by it. Now, they seem to have everything under the sun under their name. My gutter had a few holes and instead of replacing the entire thing due to lack of time, I opted for this resolution for the time being.
