Safe arrived in good shape on time. One problem though, it didn't have the biometric access pad, it had a traditional electronic keypad instead. I called the company's customer service and didn't get a response. Funny thing is that I probably prefer the keypad I got, it's easy to use and less prone to problems.     • Biometric works when it want to...
At first was great, a year and a half later, it pretends to acknowledge your fingerprints (green light and no errors), but then after programming it won't recognize trying to open it. I don't know, I hate biometrics now and I have to keep using my keys. As for space the dividers don't mean you could actually store that many rifles, because most I am ever to fit were maybe 4 or 5 at the most. Had to be creative in how to actually store them in there without get them stuck in there. Better off using this for either ammo and ammod cans or paperwork and other sensitive and valuable items. Overall construction is sturdy and solid, requires to be anchored on studs as most safes do. I will never buy a biometric safe again. Give me an old combination tumbler and I would feel better. ... show more

Really like the size and weight of the safe. Very disappointed in the fingerprint method. Contacted seller, and he tried to make it right, (5 stars for customer service) and sent me another fingerprint module. Still didn't work ! Now i just hide and use the key which is not the purpose. Because it's big and a hassle to return, i'm stuck. Excellent customer service though. ... show more

As described by other reviewers the packaging was not great. That's a fact. The three pronged handle on the front consists of 3 screw-in prongs and one was missing having clearly fallen out of the holes that the packaging ended up with during transport. All of that said. Pretty nice safe. I emailed the seller and they promptly shipped me a replacement for the missing handle piece. A few scuffs too but nobody should put a gun safe in view so those scuffs will never be seen. Mine is buried where it'll never be seen as long as I'm still exercising my 2nd amendment rights. I spent a lot of time researching. If you're looking for something for up to 8 rifles that's actually a safe and not a locker, has a real lock mechanism and a fire rating, this is it. If you buy anything else in this price range I'm confident you made a bad choice. This is the one at this price. ... show more

    • Biometric scanner can open for almost anyone.
The sturdiness of the safe is decent. The scanner will open for just about anyone. It broke shortly after purchasing, so I use the key. If you are looking for a gun safe without fire rating with a key. This is the one. Also the shelf in it can’t be moved, and the door pockets are pretty useless.     • Odd ordering process but great customer service
I ordered the biometric version, but the keypad version arrived and the inside divider was broken. I contacted the company, and they responded right away. They apologized for the mix-up, refunded me some money, and quickly mailed a replacement divider. Top-notch customer service. The keypad version is really quick and responsive, so no worries there. I'd say this is somewhere between a cabinet and a safe. Metal gauge is more like a thick cabinet than a safe, but the locking mechanism is very safe-like. I used the back-side holes to bolt to a wall stud, and in that configuration, it is very secure. The unit really top-heavy, so affixing to a wall stud is a must. I've had this for 10 months now and I think I'm on the 4th time where the finger print unlock won't work. If you need a safe that is a pain in the ass to get in to or one you don't need to get in to quickly, this is the one for you.
