It works really good. I don’t know much about musical instruments so it’s perfect for beginners. My son who is on the spectrum loves it. I’m a professional trumpeter, and I give lessons at the local high school. I ran into a young man who needed something better than his tattered up Jupiter (which I hate) and he said he was in a pinch financially. I started doing some research and bought a few of these low end trumpets to try out and assess what the best option would be. (I donated all the other trumpets I bought to a middle school for beginner players because they can beat them up) and this glory trumpet is honestly a bang for your buck! Valves were a little rough out of the case (mine didn’t come with anything other than the trumpet and the mouthpiece in the case) so I used my own valve oil, and gave it a nice bath to get rid of factory residue, and now the function almost as well as my professional Yamaha horn! From your local professional level trumpet player, I would highly recommend this trumpet for any players from middle to high school if you’re in a pinch. (Moving forward from high school of course if you want to pursue music as a career you’ll need a professional horn) but other than that it plays well in tune. I got this as a gift for my grandson as an early introduction to trumpet. His father, my son, who is a highly skilled trumpet play says for the money this is a great trumpet. It has been a joy watching my son teach his son basic skills for the trumpet. Well worth the money.
