    • Superb performance if you have the space
From a sheer performance perspective I have no complaints. This GPU will easily run graphically lavish modern (at time of writing) games on a 4K monitor at completely maxed-out settings, usually hugging close to 60 FPS with occasional dips closer to 50, which I don't think I'd even consciously perceive if I weren't monitoring them for testing. The fans crank up fairly loudly as one might expect but they're within reason, and while I haven't checked the exact temperatures I haven't seen any cause for concern. There is an optional "Silent" mode that throttles off on it a bit if you're concerned about noise, though I don't know what temperature and/or performance impact that might have. And the white color is a great match for the right aesthetics, if you have an open or transparent case. The glowing AERO logo can be customized using Gigabyte Control Center to different colors or shifting between them, technically - but good luck getting that to work reliably. It is, however, unreasonably huge. While on paper it only uses one slot in the back of the case, the bulk of the heatsink effectively obstructs three of them. Some low-profile stuff might fit in underneath it, but you may find this really limits how many PCI devices you can physically fit into your case. Its weight and length also mandates the use of a mounting bracket (included, luckily!) to support where it sticks out from the motherboard. It does sit quite securely once that's in place, but make sure not to skip that! (I did appreciate that the washers for the mounting bracket screws were white too, to match the style) Also, you may need to use the included adapter to connect three six-pin power connectors if your power supply doesn't support 12VHWR or 12v2x6 (I genuinely cannot for the life of me figure out which this card uses), so you'll want to ensure you have enough ports on your power supply for those in that case. I have zero complaints about the performance, but the sheer power extravagance and space it takes up makes it feel like this is expected to be practically the only thing plugged into your motherboard. I love this monster of a GPU! Paired with my 9800X3D I'm pulling over 430fps in Fortnite with 1080p gaming. 2K gaming, around 280fps roughly. Love this GPU, and had absolutely no issues. Recommend!

This thing is chonky as hell, and I was worried when it arrived that I was going to have to cut my side panel to fit it in my moderately spacious case, but luckily it just barely fit... Performance is what you would expect from a 4080 super, temps stay pretty low and even when not in silent mode it is quiet... Installing the anti-sag bracket this behemoth needs was a bit tricky, but that will vary based on the case and motherboard you are using, and would have been easier for me if I wasn't running a 90 degree sata cable that comes out right next to it... The thing looks sick in my case, but now I feel like I need a bigger heat sink for my processor because it looks tiny by comparison... ... show more

NVidia is still the king of video cards and 4080 Super is still the most sensible buy of 2024 if you want 4k gaming. This Gigabyte Aero OC GeForce RTX 4080 Super is an excellent choice, especially if you strive for an all white build and your case has enough space to house it without affecting the temps. This Video Card arrived DOA, and because I waited 30 days for a motherboard to arrive this is out of the 30 return window. So amazon customer support basically said go F yourself and deal with Gigabyte support. This has never worked and I'm stuck with a $1100.00 paper weight. So for future reference, if you order a bunch of PC parts and there is a delay on a part, the clock for your 30 starts when the 1st part arrives, not the last part. Which is where I screwed up waiting 30 days for a motherboard was stupid on my part. I should have bought the 7900XTX These 4080 Nvidia cards have crappy connectors and they are well aware of this, whether Nvidia does anything about is another story. ... show more
