I had a different card from that other brand and after using it for a while, I decided that I was not happy with the performance of that card. Not wanting to take out a second mortgage for a card I wanted, I settled for these intending to use it for a while until my next PC build, perhaps until the next generation. I'm very happy with the card and its performance. I like playing games with high graphics as low setting bothers me a lot but I also want a decent frame rates and these are good for me. I have wanted a ROG Strix video card for a while and finally saw this deal pop up and pulled the trigger. It was selling new for over $600 and I got the Amazon Warehouse deal one at $265 delivered to my door. Only thing missing was the Outside packaging, with the pretty pics of the video card and stuff on it, came in the original Strix inner box and static bag, had never been installed and still had all the protective plastic on the video card. It plays all the games I want at high settings with 60-120fps and looks sweet in my new build. I will keep this one until the 5060 series come out possibly. With video card prices the way they are I may have it even longer than that. Great card for the money I spent. ... show more

Need to get my griping out of the way first and see there is another comment about this in another review. I assume it's for saving money, or saving trees, but have noticed Amazon now shipping graphics cards in plastic bags instead of shipping boxes. The problem with this is when you receive your new card, the box inside gets damaged in shipment because of lack of protection, like mine did. This affects resale value, as well as no one wants to receive a new card in a damaged retail box. Now with that out of the way, I'd like to add my two cents on this very well engineered card. Never had a graphics card run this cool and quiet, and have bought many in past that claimed this feature For me, paying a little extra for this feature was well worth it. Everyone knows 3060 details but this one, with it's top shelf components, overclocks like a dream and still manages to stay ultra cool and quiet. The RGB is gorgeous and the metal backplate is awesome as well. Now, about Amazon shipping in plastic bags again..... ... show more

I use it every day for games and simple PC tasks. Its more than I might need for somethings but it was a upgrade from a RX570. The price was decent at the time I purchased it even if it still could be considered over priced. Was around 500$ USD. I have had 0 issues with the product and so far its made some programs run 100 times better than they did with my old card. I would purchase this again. Size is definitely big, fast and power hungry. It was a big difference from my old GTX 780 to RTX 3060 make sure you have sufficient power supply and enough room on your case it is long. The media could not be loaded. I've long since lost the tiny screw I found tinkling inside the static bag and did not disassemble the unit to find out where that screw came from. It was so tiny, it didn't look like something that was holding the heatsink on. I didn't dare remove the heatsink because I would have to clean the die and reapply thermal paste. Getting this card to do 3D gaming was the priority and mining was a afterthought. This card is hobbled for mining meaning no more than 32mh/s with ethash is possible and rvn mining was power intensive with overclocking. The condition said it was used but other than the easily removable security sticker, there was no sign of usage. The card preforms well but to get the advertised refresh rate you must upgrade your monitor to 120hz + to experience the amazing 3D games like call of duty the way they were intended. If you have a dvi/vga monitor like I did, you're limited to 60hz refresh rate. ... show more

Great graphics card, super quiet. Id recommend getting something to hold up the right side because it does sag but you’ll get that with most 3 fan graphics cards. If you have the money I would recommend getting a 3070 or even a 3080 tho, may be worth the extra couple hundred buck.
