Frequently asked questions

LHR stands for Lite Hash Rate, which is a hardware limitation implemented by NVIDIA to limit the cryptocurrency mining efficiency of the card. This means the performance of this particular RTX 3070 model will be halved when it comes to mining cryptocurrencies, but it has no impact on gaming or computer graphics performance.

The 256-Bit refers to the memory bus width of the graphics card, which is essentially the path that data travels from the memory to the GPU core. Wider the bus width, better the data flow. GDRR6 is the type of graphics memory used, it's the latest generation offering higher bandwidth, allowing the card to render graphics more efficiently.

Ampere is NVIDIA's 2nd generation RTX architecture. This architecture enhances performance, power efficiency, and adds new features to the graphics card, including ray tracing and AI-powered DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling), providing a smoother and more immersive gaming experience.

Yes, the MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming Z Trio 8G LHR supports multi-display setups. It comes with three DisplayPorts and one HDMI port, enabling you to connect multiple monitors for an expanded workstation or a more immersive gaming setup.

  • Perfect mid-range card
This card is a majestic beast that powers through all the VR games I throw at it without it even breaking a sweat. Additionally, it is able to smoothly and quickly render scenes in the Blender viewport, which saves me a lot of time and frustration when creating digital masterpieces. (Okay... masterpieces may be a bit of an exaggeration. My work is mediocre at best :P ) The card itself is stunning. It's not as beautiful as my old MSI 2060 (man, that was a good year for card aesthetics), but still beautiful nonetheless. It looks like a powerhouse, performs like a powerhouse, and feels as solid as a steel brick. Definitely worth the buy, in my opinion. ... show more

  • Best Mid-Tier Card
I got this as an upgrade from my previous GTX 1650 Super, and I will say, although a hefty price point, felt worth it. Build quality is great (a little on the heavy side for a card) but it performs great, temps are great combined with my cold room, highest i seen this card hit was 40-50 degrees Celsius. I recommend it for those who wanna ensure an RTX Card before the 40 series, but don’t recommend to those who only plan on playing on 1080p. this is a 1440p card and performs great at that res. that being said, it’s great. period. ... show more

  • A Beast
My only regret with this card was waiting so long to purchase it. But, then again, I was waiting for prices to come down. That said, it's a beast. It drives my Samsung Odyssey G7 27" Curved monitor with ease, and looks great doing it. I'm a fan of LED lighting, so I like that feature. I do a lot of gaming, and I can get great frame rates while I'm doing it. The included software is useful for monitoring and tweaking settings. One caveat - it does generate heat when it's cranking, so make sure you have a well ventilated case and good cooling solution. ... show more

  • Great GPU, much too expensive
Bought this GPU to replace a Gigabyte (worst company I've ever had the misfortune of trying to deal with) 3070 TI that stopped working after 3 weeks. Shipping was great, arrived 2 days earlier than early arrival estimate. GPU install was easy & it works great. So far so good but it's only been 3 days. Will update review if needed. ... show more

  • It does what it does quietly and cool
Very cute looking card. The RGB looks super nice and the design is very attractive. the card is heavy and sags, luckily it has a bracket included in the package. Be advised that the bracket is usable in standard builds, it will not work on inverted (mine) nor vertical builds. I installed the bracket on the image to show this. The noise level is super low, in most games the fans work at minimum speed which has very low noise levels. In OS environment the fans are mostly off. Living in a year-round summer place, the temps are surprisingly cool, around 36-40°C in idle (about 10-16° over ambient). It is a bit power hungry but its typical from Nvidia Cards and most cards as of late. Getting it on sale (ideal pricepoint is about msrp for founders edition) gives excellent bang for the buck. I haven't OC'ed yet but I'm sure It'll do just fine. ... show more

  • Works Great but has downfalls
works great can play just about anything mine is having an issue with AURA? The Msi Mystic lights have one hell of a conflict. It will install, but every time I restart after that, my memory RGB in aura will vanish. It will come back until I uninstall MSI. Trident z GSkill memory is being used. The only way I'm able to get it to hold color without killing my ram RGB is to install, pick a color, and uninstall. It will hold that color forever unless reinstalled. ... show more

  • Exceeded expectations
To start, I replaced my old GTX 1070 SC GAMING card with this one and was not disappointed. Paired with my i7-7700k cpu, it runs my games (Cyberpunk, Total War Warhammer3, CoD MW2, Skyrim, WoW, Guild Wars, and FFXIV) on high or ultra graphics with average maintained 58-60fps on a 1080p 60hz monitor. This is NON overclocked. I monitored the cooling on the card during INTENSE benchmarks and 5-8hour max setting graphics intensive games and never saw it go higher than 40C. Overall this card is amazing and has exceeded my expectations. A thing of note, pay attention to the dimensions, as this card is quite massive (and heavy) so be sure to make enough room for the cards ample length, depth and width dimensions as well as the bracing bracket it comes with for those with elevated/vertical PCs. ... show more

  • Not as overpriced as other sellers.
It arrived promptly. Product was as advertised in new condition. Works great. I've had it for a couple days now, no problems. At $1350 dollars it is overpriced, but not as bad as other sellers. I bought it to replace my RTX 2070 which was struggling to handle my Pimax 5K Super VR headset. This card can handle it quite well playing iRacing. I recommend this seller. ... show more
