For a set that boasts high durability due to its stoneware construction and matte glaze finish, this was incredibly disappointing. I ADORE these. I don't have a dishwasher so can't say how they hold up in a dishwasher, but they are beautiful, big, and well-crafted. They clean so easily and match all my cookware beautifully. I have open shelves so wanted something I could place that was pleasing to the eye and they hit that ticket. Only small thing is that they did have a slight oder when I unpackaged them. I love the look and feel but after one dinner there are knife and fork marks on the plates. It’s not an Amazon issue so I have contacted Gibson. ETA: Gibson said this is not a typical problem. They offered replacement for only 3 dishes but stated there is no guarantee on their product. They also suggested I return them to Amazon. Will not buy Gibson again ... show more

Though this set looks very nice, the moment you put your flatware on the plate to eat or cut meat etc. the plates get stained with greyish marks and it does not come out. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I do not recommend Stoneware.
