The brown trim is now fading and completely gone on these plates and bowls from dishwasher use and supposed to be dishwasher safe. They are sturdy and beautiful nonetheless

I purchased the teal color and I am quite happy with them ! I only took one star off simply because the bowls are HUGE. The bowls would definitely be nice for a good sized salad but make for an awkward cereal eating experience. I ended up keeping a couple of my older small bowls just to use for some quick breakfast eating. Other than that, the dishes are gorgeous! I have handwashed (don't have a dishwasher) a couple plates about 3x now and so far no signs of chipping even though I was pretty rough with them since they take some getting used to after years of “safe” Corelle dishes. I have used the plate in the microwave and it was perfectly fine. I only needed a couple minutes though so not sure about longer period of time. I would recommend to anyone looking to overhaul their cabinet and finally upgrade to some nice looking dishware for adults. But keep a couple of your old small bowls… Enjoy ! ... show more

I purchased two sets of these to match a set I had bought in a big-box store a few years ago from the same manufacturer. The glaze is ever-so-slightly different, but no more than you would expect from different lots purchased years apart, and I don't think anyone would notice unless they were looking for it. I love the way these look on the table and they hold up well in the dishwasher. They are fine for everyday family meals and also "dress up" well for guests. And the price was great. My only surprise was that the bowls were bigger than expected; from the photo I expected them to be small. ... show more
