  • Fits my e-bike, complicated assembly
Probably took me 2 hours to put this on my bike. I bought it because the rack that came with the bike was bent. I spent a crazy amount of time comparing racks online to find one that would fit my VIVI bike. So this one has many adjustable angles, which allowed it to fit, but was also maddening to get just right. Bottom line, it’s a quality product, lightweight too. But the instructions are very lacking. Might want to look up videos for help. ... show more

  • Versatile Rack for Recumbent Delta Trike
I had a hard time finding a rack that fit my Sun X-3 recumbent. This rack worked really well and offered a wealth of mounting options. It went together quickly and I had it on the bike in about 30 minutes. You will need a 10 & 9mm wrench as well as your own Allen wrenches. My “bicycle leatherman” equivalent had all required tools. This rack seems really sturdy. I did pick up the back of the trike by the rack and gave It a shake. As stated, seems really sturdy. ... show more

  • What a pain to assemble, and no adequate instructions!
This thing was a nightmare for me. It took me hours to fight the thing before I finally arrived at a complete installation. The instructions were useless as the pictures and commentary were poor and childish. It is obvious that the person who designed both had no actual experience with the assembly at all. There was no indication that 2 different Allen wrenches were needed and neither was supplied. There were no mentions that 2 different metric sockets would be needed, and not supplied. Their explanations of assembly frequently included the term "appropriate position and secured". Finding the appropriate position of anything on this thing was a nightmare. You can't find any "appropriate" position without the rack on the bike. I found it impossible to approximate these positions without hours of trial and error, I had to stop at one point out of sheer anger and frustration over the inability to approximate any position that I thought could possibly work without the thing locked in form. The hardware was of sufficient quantity but without the acknowledgment of the special tools needed for the installation to succeed, it was guesswork until those discoveries were made. I have not used the rack, nor ridden the bike at this point, and it's reliability appears to be OK when I got some foot-pounds of torque on all of the joints. I was staying away from the frame clamping seat-pole models to retain the low seat position. I cannot mount something that high seated, as I am not a very tall person and require my feet to have immediate access to the ground for stability. Be forewarned that the multitude of joints and manipulations of positioning before complete installation with this unit was a nightmare for me and I will never attempt one these attachments again. It is installed and the height of the saddle was not raised, which is why I bought it, but unless you like infuriating frustration for a few hours and enjoy being foiled by puzzles get one that clamps on the saddle pole of the bike. It was relatively inexpensive, but if there were not the demands of saddle height this erector set of a bike rack would have been returned out of aggravating frustration after 30 minutes of attempted installation. I purchased a metal frame mount bar because it was not mentioned that it came with one. It is included so don't waste the money like I did, because the information on this unit was inadequate at point of sale. Like I said, whoever put this show together has never had to deal with buying it nor installing it. ... show more

  • For the cost, it’s great
I spent months searching for a bike rack and finally landed on this one. First, like everyone said before, the instructions are appalling. They don’t tell you what goes where or which way the pieces should face or which parts go on the inside versus the outside….so if you don’t have an analytical mind and some patience, this may not be the rack for you. However, if you like the challenge and a little trial and error, you can’t beat the price of this one. On another note, every piece I was given was bent or twisted. I had to bend and shape every piece in order to get it to all fit together. I would have returned but had bought this for a trip and didn’t have time for an exchange. However, after some time and manipulation, I got it all installed and am happy with it overall. ... show more

  • Fidgety to adjust
Purchased for a 29er hardtail mtb w/o braze-ons to attach racks. Very fidgety to put together and adjust, but eventually it worked. Instructions are terrible. The bike has a seat dropper so had to purchase a clamp for the base of the seatpost.

  • A lot of pieces and hard to put together
Perfect for my bike, but hard to get together

  • Instructions a little complicated.
Not a universal fit; must have certain configuration under seat or it can’t be installed. Instructions are pictorial and looked difficult.

  • Neatly bagged parts, with no directions except some pictures of a postcard.
I do like the product. I just had to find a YouTube to show me how to put it together and install. It was just made more difficult by no Internet links or YouTube links. I found one that was OK. Unfortunately, it had goofy music, no dialogue, and the video was sped it up not in real time. I had to keep pausing it. It’s not brain surgery, but it could be made a lot easier to install. ... show more
