  • Quality, Light-weight, Easy to set up - 4 season tent
Color: Amy Green
I've used this tent from temps ranging from -30 F to 70 + F. Easy to setup. Maybe a wee bit bulky for long backpacking? But that's really just person dependent. To me, it seems fine. I use it here in Montana frequently. Especially for winter expeditions. So far I've had no problems. Keeps the wind out, & is spacious. Snow flaps to keep Snow out. All in all, a good quality budget friendly tent. ... show more

  • Nice, Solid tent
Color: Amy Green
Purchased this tent to replace another. My son’s scout friend recommended this 4-season tent. He took it to a stormy event and it did well. Easy to set up. About half the troop have this tent and everyone says how lightweight it is; however, it seems bulky for me to take as a backpacking tent. Great for simple camping. I believe they squeezed 4 kids in the tent as one of their tents failed during the storm. ... show more

  • Fantastic tent! Easy to put up and take down!
Color: Yellow
Bought this for our son who camps for geology studies. Due to his schedule, he didn’t have an opportunity to try it out before heading out on his most recent trip. This could have been a huge problem, but he said the tent was sooo easy to set up, in fact, he had it set up before others in his group with their usual tents had completed assembling their own. Despite the cold temps, he said he stayed warm and dry. This tent definitely gets a big thumbs up! ... show more

I have had mine for a few seasons now and it has been an awesome little tent. I wanted a tent that would be great for solo trips, and primitive sights. I had a few things on my checklist and this tent has worked well. It is cool and airy when it is hot, warm and dry when it's cold and wet. It's small and light enough for bike and canoe camping and short backpacking trips. (If your trying to be super light this might not be the one.) I've used it on the open beach, and in the shaded woods. It gets plenty of ventilation and air with it's mesh top and screen doors closed when the fly is off, yet still offers plenty of privacy when sleeping or changing. With the fly on, it offers protection from wind and rain and can be cozy. It has stood up to a stiff breezes while island camping, and kept out light rain. I haven't been in HEAVY rain with it....but I always apply scotch guard to my tents (at least the fly) before adventures. I've had no leaks or tears. It is uber roomy for one camper and able to accommodate 2 if they "like each other". The dual doors again are great for ventilation, egressing when accommodating two campers, and stowing gear. It is self standing, so no worries if pitching in sand, grass or in your living room. Been happy with my purchase and look forward to using it on my next trip. ... show more

  • Fast set up. Great heat retention.
Color: Amy Green
I must say, moving from a 5 person C@lemon to a 2 person tent was both exciting and scary. I have a lot of back and body pain so I needed something easier to setup. After months of reviewing tents, I believe I found it. Set-up is very simple, less than 5 minutes. I love the mini vegetable options for warmer weather. However, the first night I used the temperatures dip down to 30°. I was very warm on the inside with my weather appropriate sleeping bag. The rain fly did its job, collecting the condensation away from the actual tent. The detachable overhead not does have some sewing errors in it, which to me is in a big deal. There are some pouches on the front and back side of the tent for flashlights, car keys and such. The zipper seem to work really well, which is one thing I was very afraid of. I did not want to be stuck with a tent with bad zippers. They seem to Glide with ease. I am in different to the stakes. They were, for now. It was pretty windy, wind gust up to 20 mph during this trip. The extra material at the base of the tent, I did place logs on so it wasn't flapping, it did help the tent become more still. I am five for and had plenty of room for my gear, and any extra stuff that I needed inside of the tent. It does have the two doors so if two people were in, they would each have an exit door. I think it would be a tight fit for someone over 6 ft, unless they slept at an angle!? The rain fly dueling as a vegetable is nice and I did use it for shoe storage however I would not rely on this to keep my shoes completely dry or debris free. Overall.. the tent is lightweight. It is easy to get back in the bag that it comes in. It packs light. I had plenty of space. It was easy to set up. The value for my money I feel is average. The zipper works well. I'm pleased with the little storage compartments and both doors. I love the color! LOL. I would recommend! ... show more

  • Great Snow Tent
Color: Yellow
The media could not be loaded. I bought this tent for camping in the Grand Canyon after seeing a forecast for snow. It is super light and setting it up took ten minutes. The tent poles are very strong and the tent material for both the inner and outer tents was light, but strong. It also comes with quality lightweight stakes that I was able to hammer all the way into the ground and pull out of icy snow without bending. Space inside is perfect for two people side by side with duffel bags at our feet. I could lay three Z insulation pads next to each other so we weren’t cramped. It was about 20F when I got in the tent for the night and the tent was dry and warmer even after sleet and flurries all day. Overnight it snowed two feet and I didn’t even notice until I heard my fellow campers digging themselves out of their collapsed tents. This Geertop tent has steep walls that prevented snow buildup from bending the poles so the tent was exactly as we had set it up. There was minimal condensation in the tent and I was able to keep my boots dry and snow-free in the space between the inner and outer tent flaps. The temperature outside was around 15F and I was very comfortable in the tent with my sleeping bag unzipped. (Our mummy sleeping bags were rated to 14F.) Having two doors was very convenient and I loved that the outer tent had strong door flaps that help up against the wind and weight of the snow. Packing the tent back up was a breeze even while another blizzard was kicking up. The snow shook off easily and both tent and outer fly were totally dry so I was able to roll them up and pack them into their bag quickly. I am extremely impressed with the quality and durability, especially in winter storm conditions. For $100 you cannot get a better winter tent than this Geertop. ... show more
