I have wire cables and several snatch blocks. I have a new ram 3500 with a rope cable. I was told I needed to use a snatch block design for rope. I guess it's synthetic actually. I purchase gear america when ever possible as St Jude's is a cause that I support completely.. my only thing I have to say is I believe the cable/rope wheel should be a larger diameter because my cable was in a tight turn around the wheel causing it to kinda un twist.. I noticed it after I had pulled off the cable to rewind it up correctly on the drum.. other than that it is a good block.. I'd buy it again if needed ... show more

Haven’t used it yet but seems to be very stout. Hope to never use it, but fully expect it to meet my needs. We have two snatch blocks and a 12,000 lb winch so “should” be able to extract ourselves out of sticky situations. 10,000 pound Cat skid steer, and a 6,000 pound BobCat ToolCat.
