I had one small issue, that issue was because of the winch I had on hand and its fitment was matching the hole pattern on the plate, the issue I had was the front bottom lip that would be infront of the winch when mounted would be in the way of my synthetic line.. so I alterd my plate by removing some of the lips height to clear my line. other than that small mis-match to my winch it fits in the hitch well, it seems sturdy and has held up to the compound and redirect configurations I done so far. pleased overall. ... show more

I am impressed with the construction. It fits the receiver well and mounting the winch was fairly easy after a few minor alterations. The pre-drilled holes for the winch caused my application to sit too close to the front of the plate where the fairlead mounts. I elongated two holes to set it back slightly to allow for the fairlead mounting hardware. The holes for the fairlead hardware were slightly undersized so they were enlarged also. Once complete, I mounted it on my truck and it looks and works as it should. Don't forget quick release electrical connectors as it is not intended to be mounted permanently and without a locking hitch pin may grow legs and run off! ... show more

Overall this is a good product also its affordable. The only holes I had to modify slightly were the front two for the fairlead mount. I would have given this five stars but I noticed the plate was what I would call tacked on to the insert it should have been welded better. If you planning on using this in extreme situations I would recommend reinforcing the welds. ... show more

I have a 14,000# winch I use for pulling trees. This bracket is up to the task without being overly bulky. I did have a little problem with the bolt holes lining-up with my name brand winch, but an electric drill to enlarge the holes fixed the problem.

    • Do not buy for a large winch
Will not take a 13000 pound winch. Not enough space to install a fairlead. Distance between bracket and winch is about 3/8 inch. So no room for a nut and bolt would bottom out against the body of the winch. Steel bracket is higher than the edge of the fair lead so rope or cable with slide across the steel and never touch the fairlead. I thought I could remove the excess material and I did without issue only to find that I could not mount a fairlead. So waste of money on my part. A small winch like 3000lb may have enough room to mount a fairlead but the bracket will most likely interfere with the rope moving through the fairlead. For sure if you have a large winch make sure the clearances are good before mounting this to your winch. The fairlead will most likely not be able to be used making this bracket useless. ... show more
