Unit arrived and assembled. Found this to be very sturdy to mount my winch to (when I find the right winch). Friend has used this same cradle for years on his winch and it has performed great and held up great,so I figured I couldn’t go wrong. Would recommend to other buyers.

    • decent winch cradle but some issues
its very loose in a standard 2" receiver and rattles allot. Also while it fit in my Jeep it would not fit in my truck because of how shallow the shaft is - it wont get back to where the pin would go. I installed this mostly for use on my wood deck trailer because mounting a flat winch plate was out of the question with how the trailer was built. It works ok for that purpose but the idea you could move this around and have it work in anything is not so much. The second issue i had with is that it come shipped in pieces with hardware just loose in the bottom of the box and no instructions. Now its not that hard to figure out but it was a pain to find all the dam hardware strewn among the box flaps and packaging material. The hardware included with this is the cheapest possible metric grade hardware that im sure will rust and likely break. It is pretty well built however past the other deficiencies. When using it on my wood deck trailer - i had to grind the "feet" down inorder to get it to fit with the receiver welded to the c-channel up front. ... show more
