  • Great play shelves for cats BUT be sure you also get carpet tiles for the kittys grip not slide off.
Size: A
Easy assembly, sturdy to mount, and also great to paint and decorate. Be sure to get adhesive carpet title and either home staple gun or nail & hammer for the top of the shelve and inside the box. My cats love chilling or zooming on the shelves. The bridge is a bit sketchy so be sure to reinforce the mount on the bridge and also the rope connected to said bridge. ... show more

  • Small But Worth It
Was small so it was easy to assemble. We have a small 2Br|2Ba apt with 2 adult cats and a medium sized dog they like to get away from. This was the perfect investment for them. We got this to try and keep them from climbing on furniture and our kitchen counters. This was their 1st ever “Jungle Gym” so they were skeptical about it at first, we sprinkled Cat Nip on it and now they are more accepting of the idea. Will take them some getting used to. As far as assembly they provided more than enough screws, anchors and even a drill bit for the size of the anchors. The only difficult thing to put together was the box portion of the set up(definitely a 2 person job: 1 to screw & 1 to hold). Everything else was pretty self explanatory. Quality is basic wood you’d find in a kid’s DIY project but it’s made for light cats so it’s not like a human kid will be jumping and climbing on it so I’d say it’s pretty acceptable for the price. Overall: Great for the price. Do not except this to cover an entire full-sized wall, you will need to get at least 2 of them if that’s what you’re going for. ... show more

  • Price is right for just the material. BYO everything else.
Size: A
In summary, if you're willing to put in some work, this is cheaper than you can make these things by hand (and saves so much time cutting the panels). But I had to go spend a little more money on some proper tooling. Maybe my most important note is that if you want these things to be sturdy, you'll want to replace the drywall anchors with something better. My other notes on assembly and installation: - Without carpet, I doubt a cat would play on these. First thing I did after component assembly was carpet all surfaces using $20 of carpet and a staple gun. This way, the cat doesn't slip off when trying to jump on from great distance. - It's easy to put the platforms upside-down; pay attention to which side has indents where the screws are. This is mostly just annoying. - It's easy to put the wrong cat face platforms on each box; pay attention to which platforms have the holes. Otherwise you won't have holes to anchor to the walls, so you'll need to drill your own, and it will have holes away from the walls (which is again annoying). - It is very difficult to get the scratching post that divides two of the platforms screwed in correctly. It's especially challenging to carpet around it. What's worse, the scratching post sits *directly in the way* of two of the four screws you have to drive into the wall. So you'll have to mount half of it, remove the post, mount the other half, then re-add the post while it's on the wall—an agonizing process. - This wood is somewhat cheap, which makes it easy to drill through, for better and for worse. That said, it's also solid wood, at a great price. - The drywall anchors that come with this are junk. Buy new ones—the kind that deform or latch when you drill them in. Otherwise the installed product will wobble loose and possibly come off eventually. - Twine that holds the bridge together is stapled to the wood rather than threaded through; it is very susceptible to being pulled out. I re-stapled each piece for added security. - Your life will probably be easier if you have a drill with a hex driver bit. My tools and materials: - Power drill with Philips and hex screwdriver tips (drywall bit included with this kit). - 32 × actual drywall anchors (included ones, again, suck). - Level. - Pencil (I used a mechanical pencil to trace where to drill the holes through the pre-drilled holes in the kit). - Someone else to hold the thing while tracing it with the pencil. - 4 × Wood screws for the stud I inevitably found during installation. For carpeting: - 18" × 120" carpet (I bought an 18" slice of a 12' carpet and had a bit over 2' left over). - Staple gun. - Sheet metal sheers (these cut carpet like butter). I leave two to three inches on the sides of the shelves to fold over the edges and then trim the overlap with the shears. I also just trimmed a circle around the scratching post, though I could probably have instead screwed that in through the carpet. ... show more

  • Add: own anchors & carpet
Size: A
We love this set type the “catification” of our home. We read the reviews and made the following edits/additions: throw out the anchors that come with it and buy some plastic/more sturdy ones. We also got us some scrap carpet and added it to every mount to help with grip for the zoomies. We don’t have a lot of wall space so we actually did away with one of the extras stairs. We also read that the ladders were more for looks and cats didn’t use them so with the limited wall space we also did away with those. This set took a lot of time to set up but was straight forward and not difficult. Highly recommend as long as you’ve got the proper anchors and carpet! Also: this was only possible to set up with another person so if you’re looking to set this up be sure there are 2 of you! ... show more

  • Good
Size: A
I recently purchased a set of cat wall shelves The shelves come together nicely, creating a stylish and functional space for my cats to explore and relax. I added some carpet to the surface to make it more comfortable. It not only adds an extra layer of coziness but also provides them with a secure grip while climbing and jumping. I must mention that putting the shelves together did take some time and effort. It required a bit of patience and a few tools, but the end result was definitely worth it. My cats now have their own little playground that they can enjoy for hours on end. ... show more
