UPDATE: I’ve had this cabinet for about 2 years now (I could be slightly off, but that’s close to the amount of time). Since this post, I've changed the litter pan to a taller pan and removed the scratching thing inside. I’ve also experimented with litter mats and wee wee pads, but I’ve found having nothing inside works best. It’s just a litter pan and the cabinet now. It has held up extremely well and it honestly was one of the best purchases I’ve made this far. I really can’t say enough good things. Keeps most of the litter in (not all obviously) and it’s easy to clean(I used a hand held vacuum and I wipe it out with some natural spray and paper towels during litter changes). Keeps the stink in too! I really think if you’re looking to hide your litter in a cabinet, this is the one. Just buy it! Original review: This little litter cabinet is pretty much exactly what is advertised. Now, it’s not my most favorite piece of furniture (it has that fake wood pattern on it), but to be honest it looks pretty good. Its sleek and modern, and it hides the litter box which is what I wanted. It’s exactly what I expected. Definitely order a litter box that it recommends underneath it to be sure it fits (I was also nervous it would be tiny and I have one normal sized cat and one big chunk of a cat, but to my surprise it was a good size little pan!). The directions were clear, but make sure you have your own tools because it looks like a lot to do without tools. My cats come to the apartment tomorrow (they’re moving into this apartment), so I’ll update the review after my cats give this thing a try :)) ... show more

I am very impressed with this litter box cabinet. It is much sturdier than I expected. I just received it today and put it together by myself. It took awhile but the directions were very well written and easy to follow. The material is sturdy and all the pieces fit nicely together. I took someone else’s advise on here and also purchased contact paper to put inside as I can see my cats making messes inside and this should make it easier to clean. It fits a small litter box but I have two cats that share the one litter box and as long as you clean it out every day would be fine. The litter box fits in there nicely with a little room to spare. The front doors make it so convenient to access the litter box to clean it out. I already owned a hideaway cat litter cabinet, but it got messy all the time, was not easy to clean, litter got every where when my cats were done doing their business, and the smell easily wafted out. I have to keep the litter box in my bedroom so this cabinet looks very nice and I’m hoping it will help keep the mess and smell to a minimum and will also be easy to clean. ... show more

I’m happy with my purchase. It looks great in the room and I am so … so… happy the litter box is hidden and the tracking of litter is pretty much non existent! We made a cat room in our office space and this was a perfect addition to it! Putting it together was easy enough and we are two females 😏 with that said I do recommend having someone help you to hold parts , have a drill and a Phillips screw driver on hand. We used the screwdriver more than the drill. I think it took about an hour to build maybe less … The quality is good, it feels very secured and sturdy. So buy it ! I am bringing home a kitten soon and live in a small studio apartment, so I really didn’t want a big open litter box in the middle of the room. This served the exact purpose I wanted it to for only $100. The quality met my expectations, no pieces missing, and it is quite sturdy (I even sat on it to see how sturdy it was - no issues there). It took maybe an hour at most to put it together; it wasn’t super easy, but if you’ve put together Ikea furniture before, you should be fine. The only thing you need for assembly is a normal screwdriver. The litter box area fit the arm and hammer sifting litter box I got perfectly. I’m not sure if I like the little cardboard mat thing that goes at the entrance, but I could easily replace that with something else. This piece also fit perfectly into my space and isn’t unnecessarily large, while still being roomy enough. As a bonus, I plan to use the top as storage space…which is always welcome when living in a small space. We will see how it holds up over time, and it remains to be seen how the cat likes it. However, so far I’m pleasantly surprised and really like the look of the thing. Pretty good value for the price - simple but elegant and functional. ... show more

For the price, the materials in this piece are quite sturdy. The directions were very easy to follow to assemble. Hoping my cats will use it, as we just put it together today, but so far I’m very impressed by the look of the cabinet. Update: My cats use this regularly!
