It was pretty easy to assemble. There were a couple instructions that were a bit ambiguous but with a little trial and error not too difficult. There was a spare for each connector which is always nice to have. The thing is sturdy if not a bit heavy. The 2 dogs (11lbs and 14lbs) were a bit hesitant about the stair at first but have gotten the hang of them. It sits at desk-height so they get a pretty good view. My only tiny nit-pick is that the bolts that connect the stairs to the perch are silver, not black like every thing else. Nothing a little paint can't fix. Very happy with this product. It was easy for my husband to put together, took maybe an hour. It's not wobbly and is the perfect height. Our 20lb, 8yr old beagle loves it.     • Sturdier than Expected
First off, this perch is heavy before assembling! It is packaged efficiently and comes with straightforward directions and parts list. The directions indicate two people should assemble, but I managed to do it on my own with a little finagling however a second pair of hands would have been helpful once or twice. It took about two hours but would have been much less if I had used a cordless drill rather than a screw driver. The perch feels sturdy as it is made of mdf and metal. It is a little higher than expected (I measured to ensure my dog would be able to see out a high window) but I neglected to measure the width so I was surprised at how big it is. My bad. Hopefully my 16lb Boston Terrier will get over his hesitation and use this perch so he doesn't have to stand on my desk while I'm working to look out the window! The stairs seem a bit steep but they need to be so the design is more compact. For the price, I think it's a substantial perch for small dogs and cats. If my dog uses it, he will enjoy the "bottom bunk" for his normal snoozing, and the top perch to look out the window (he's nosey and loves to see what's going on!) The storage under the stairs is an added bonus. If you're on the fence, I encourage you to give this perch a try. Your pet will thank you! ... show more

This is a solid raised bed and stairs for your dog or cat. Was relatively easy to assemble, though there’s one or two steps in the directions that could be clearer. Wish it came in other colors but a thrifty person could paint it. I liked this option more than many others as the top bed is larger. This elevated dog bed is perfect for pets who want to be elevated. We bought this in 2022 for our cocker spaniel who’s 35 lbs. so she could look out of the windows in my office and enjoy the sunshine. After one year, the bed remains sturdy, solid & heavy, which is the most important feature – it doesn’t shake or wobble at all. The steps aren’t too tall or steep, so her short legs can easily go up & down the stairs. The nonslip pads on the steps help & don’t slip when our dog takes the steps. That said, the pads but aren’t adhered by any adhesive, so the pads could be removed & replaced with something else, or you could adhere the pads to the steps yourself if you prefer. The elevated bed was simple to assemble, came with instructions, and the measurements shown in the product photos are accurate. One person could easily assemble in less than 30 minutes. We like the storage area under the bed, which we use to keep a tub full of dog clothes. As for the top sitting level, the bed comes with a cheap & thin brown cushion (we keep the brown cushion under the tub of clothes). Instead of using that cushion, we use a Snoozer dog bed that we already had, which fit perfectly on the top level and is more comfortable (& attractive) for our dog. We also put a king-size pillow on the window sill so she can get more sun, but without the pillow, the top level is still large enough so that she can sit & nap comfortably. I ordered this window perch for my dog in January 2023. It's a great, well-made item! However, recently my clumsy husband tripped and landed on the bottom step, completely breaking it. I reached out to the seller and they sent me replacement parts...FREE! I was very appreciative of this excellent customer service.     • Have had for less than two months and is completely falling apart
I am writing this review to warn others about the poor quality of this bed. I purchased this product a few months ago(1-2), and it was very difficult to assemble. The instructions were clear, but it was cheap material and a million pieces. I finally managed to assemble it, but it was not stable. It swayed when my 17 lb shih tz sat on it, and the bottom wood is already broken. I am very disappointed with the quality of this product. It is expensive, and it should not be falling apart after just a few months. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Here are some of the pros and cons of this product: Pros: The product has a potential to be comfortable and enjoyable to a pet! It is a good size. Cons: Very difficult to assemble. Not stable. Bottom wood is already broken. Expensive for the quality. I would not recommend this product to anyone. It is poorly made and not worth the price.
