This engine was easily mounted on a 6 year old Murray deck. The original 125cc Briggs and Stratton engine wore out to the point that it would not start. The engine mounting holes lined up perfectly. Three 3/8" (1/2'drive} 1 3/4' long bolts, nuts and lock washer was used for mounting. The original blade adaptor, blade, and blade bolt was used. The flywheel brake cable fit and was easily attached. The recoil starter rope was easily attached to the handle position. After adding oil and fuel the engine started really easy and ran perfectly. Hope it last forever! ... show more

I gotta give a huge thanks to the company, I live in Hawaii, not one other company in amazon would send meban engine. There's really no reason for it rather then being to lazy to pack it and ship it which you do for every other order, I don't know what the difference is? It's VOUT 40 lbs. So USPS will ship flat rate. I recommend you buy from these guys because they go above and beyond every other seller on amazon. I went through them all multiple times seeing if I could trick em by changing address but it was Hawaii so automaticalky it's I or some say unavailable but as soon as you change you address to a California residence alnof a sudden they magically have in stock again, which is a sad way to practice business in my opinion. Anyways the engine is great. I ripped it apART put some upgrades on it and it's a beast. My wife couldn't believe her eyes S I TOOK it out of the box and started ripping into it. Started on the first pull out if the box and runs well. I found two things I didn't like. I had to swap the crank shaft from the engine this replaced due to a custom shaft profile. While doing so I found the cam shaft is nylon. Also when I replaced the included spark plug I noticed the plug threads in the head are pretty rough almost like the hole was too large before the threads were tapped. Decided to go with this engine after reading reviews, and gotta say. It does not hesitate. Now of course with each application, there will be some modifications. Like for the pedal assembly throttle actuation, I had to make some mods and add a return spring to make it work. No Biggie. One other thing, I had to disconnect the oil sensor because it was shutting off the engine from bouncing around. It should be fine though on stationary/level machines. The ad is miss leading. This is NOT an easy start engine. As a matter of fact it would not start at all. The manual shows a choke and off-on switch, but neither are on this engine. Also there is no throttle. I had several people try and all it would do is back fire and jerk the pull start cable out of your hand. VERY disappointed and do not suggest anyone purchase this engine. I installed this engine on my old mower deck with hardly any modifications. Did everything the directions said. fueled it up, primed the fuel. and it started on the first pull. I have used it approximately 2 hours so far and am very pleased.

Very Very happy with this engine. It's just as good as the other top name 212cc engines out there. High quality parts and also most of the predator parts fit right on this engine. I installed it on my snowblower and it was a simple 1.2.3. Install only took about 30 minutes for everything. Great power and nice and quiet.
