It was easy to put together. I didn't read the instructions, so after I put it together, I had to pull it apart and wrap the cord down around the handle pipe to the detector. Since it's winter, it has been used twice. Both times I found something, a big old nail and some tin siding. There are distinct different tones for metal types, which I will have to learn to distinquish. For this kind of money and gives you everything you need to get started. And it works pretty good. However I can’t get the sound to work right in the headset. I wish I had a better way of doing that but I don’t really have time to explore it either. Either way I’m happy with it I suppose. There were some great videos online to teach how to use it. I think it’s pretty lightweight to carry around. Now that we are using it. I have decided that I need to orange another pinpoint for the kids. This is a great way to have some family time and get up and moving.
