  • If your tomatoes have outgrown their containers, BUY THESE!
Size: 7 Gallons
If I could give this 10 stars, I would! If you are transplanting tomatoes, and wondering if these containers will work, read on.... First, I wasn't sure about these bags. How are fabric bags going to look, how are they going to hold up, and what the heck size do I use for my sprawling tomato plants? Am I going to need so much soil that it's going to break the bank? I went with the 7 gallon size. My plants were previously in pots that were 10" and 12". They were about 3' tall and getting so bushy and heavy I had to wrap string around them to keep the outer branches from breaking. In doing so, I could now barely see the tomatoes hidden inside the foliage! I purchased a set of 20 - 7 gallon sized plant bags. And I must say, this ended up being the PERFECT solution for my tomatoes! Each transplant took exactly 1 cubic foot bag of soil. I simply filled up each bag 1/3 full, placed the tomato plant on top in the center, and poured the rest of the soil on top, spreading it around and tucking it down the sides. And WOW what a difference! I highly recommend moving them before watering, as they get pretty heavy! But those handles? They hold up great and do a beautiful job of making moving them much easier! I transplanted these 10 days ago and my plants have TAKEN OFF! They are now racing over the height of the 48" stakes! (See height of plants in before and after photos). I also ordered the 48" plant stakes here on Amazon, they are metal with a plastic protective coating. And 12" stake arms, which allowed me to easily connect the stakes. I ordered a set of 50 stakes for 46$, and 3 sets of 20 arms for 8$ a set. Larger plant varieties got 4 stakes each, and others got 3. Both setups worked BEAUTIFULLY! Not only do they look SO NICE, but this has provided them excellent support, room to grow and spread out, and it has also opened up each plant so that the bees can actually get to the flowers to fertilize, and the tomatoes previously hidden inside can now be reached by the sunlight! These bags are not only beautiful, economical, practical and easy to use, but they are STURDY! Because of their shape and wide base, my plants don't tip over in heavy winds anymore! And they have stood up to 10 days of storms and torrential NC rains and haven't budged or lost their shape! As an avid gardener, finding these bags is a real game changer! I will no longer have a bunch of mismatched pots that I'm trying to find on sale at different places. This looks professional and clean! Mt backyard looks like a nursery! I can not recommend this product enough! These bags are literally PERFECT in every way and I would not change a thing! ... show more

  • Worked but not ideal for vegetable garden
Size: 3 Gallons
We bought these because life got too busy in the spring and didn’t have time to dig up the garden and we already bought the plants. We have wonderful composted soil we filled and grew a variety tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. It’s been really dry in Central Pa so keeping them hydrated has been a pain. The plants weren’t growing as fast as we thought they should. The cucumbers were starting to vine out so I transplanted them to an inground flower garden. Now I am getting my tomatoes and peppers but we don’t feel they are doing as well as years past when they were in a smaller garden. I thought being in these pots would give them their own room to grow. The cucumbers went nuts when moved them to the ground in the same soil. So I believe these pots are best for smaller plants and even for seedlings until they are ready to flourish in ground ... show more

  • Almost perfect
Size: 5 Gallons
So far this product has been a lifesaver for my pepper plants which were root bound in their existing pots. The only "complaint" I have right now is that when I water the plants, water does seep through in the stitching of the handles but everywhere else seems pretty good. I did see a review where a pepper plant had it's roots grow into the fibers of the bag so we will see if that's the case. ... show more

  • Roots Can Grow Through Bottom
Size: 2 Gallons
These work awesome. I used these for starting trees in early spring. Then re-used them to plant tomatoes and peppers. Tomato/pepper roots can grow through the bottom if you do not move these around often, but the roots growing through fabric are likely strained. If you want the roots to grow through healthily, you could slice the bottom with a knife. Also in southern heat these dry out quickly, which is good for mold prevention but bad if you don't like to water often. ... show more

Size: 7 Gallons
I grow alot in planter pots and 3 gallon flower tubs with holes punched in for drainage and the bags grow better and healthier looking plants for my yard . you do have to water more, the the buckets seem to smother out the plant. I love my grow bags, earth bags. easy to move around!

They are really good, breathable, hold water well, light and easy to move, and our plants and veggies thrive in them! Can’t go wrong with these pots!

  • Great deal my Japanese cucumbers are loving it!
Size: 5 Gallons
Drains well, easy to carry and move around. Material seems sturdy. It did not seem like it would rip when carrying it… very strong so far even after watering the plant for over a month it is still holding up.
