This cabinet is the perfect size for what I needed and while I'm not sorry I purchased it, I don't think I'd recommend. It's sturdy enough and handles quite a bit of weight. I was a little concerned when I saw that it came with wall mounts for the top, but it doesn't seem to need them except that the top of the cabinet does stand a little further out from the wall than the bottom. You can only tell if you examine it from the side and I doubt there's any chance it will fall forward. Once I filled it, there was no wobble to it at all. Empty, it's light enough for even an old woman to move easily. It looks nice and fits perfectly in a little cubby in my dining room. But it's not particularly well made and the instructions for putting it together could use a little more detail when it comes to the back panels. One of the bottom doors requires a slight force to close because it brushes very slightly against the piece above it. I guess it's possible that it's because of some error in putting it on, but the other doors fit perfectly. The back panels don't fit together properly and have screw holes where no screws could possibly go. I can't tell if it was badly machined or if maybe the same pieces are cut for multiple types of cabinets. Also the top piece was damaged and one of the dowels was missing. Fortunately I happened to have one I could cut to fit. Not terribly difficult to put together except for the back panels, which are paperboard. If they fit the way they look like they are supposed to, it would be a nice design, as the edges are cut so they fit together without the little gap you see on the backs of a lot of entertainment centers and that sort of thing. I desperately needed a pantry and didn't want to spend a lot of time or money. This fit the bill. And it does look nice. Also I generally have not bought furniture that had to be assembled, so perhaps my expectations were a bit high. Update - I asked for a replacement piece and they sent me a whole new cabinet. They got another star for that. It was a waste though. I didn't want to put the whole thing together again. I just wanted the top piece that was defective. Still great customer service. ... show more

Love this pantry! Very sturdy and fairly easy to put together. Holds a lot of food also! I painted the top white and the knobs black. Then we added trim to the top and bottom to give it a little more dimension. Couldn’t be happier with it!

This cabinet is being used in a destination trailer (stationary) that was seriously lacking storage space. It arrived on time with all pieces intact and labeled. Took my husband and I about 3 hours (including breaks) to assemble. Directions were a bit sketchy but working together we figured out the confusing parts. Just take your time. The cabinet seems very sturdy- we didn’t anchor to the wall due to the material it would have to go into. But it doesn’t wobble or tilt. I haven’t noticed any off putting smells that others have mentioned. I do wish it came in a brown but we can live with the gray. And it does store a lot!! ... show more

I got two of these for my very small entry/hallway, I'm using them on either side of a shoe/boot bench. I initially was hoping that the upper section could be used to hang some sweaters but alas that's not possible because it's the MIDDLE (upper section) shelf that's NOT MOVABLE - pity. Well, I can still use them for storage and that I do sorely need. As to quality, they're pretty flimsy actually and even while putting together you must handle with 'kid gloves' (aka: extreme care and caution). I did break one of the MDF sections at a critical pegged hole when trying to put G&H with O&P sections (per directions) and had to use wood glue ... and prayer, lots of prayer ... that that would hold it. Overall, I am not impressed with the quality at all. Even after being built they are still somewhat fragile ... and yes ... you should screw them into a wall (preferably into a wall stud). But once in place they do look nice and are ok for storing lighter things (towels or maybe boxed food items). Don't overload it/them! Unfortunately, I can't afford to have pantry cabinets built onto my wall, nor can I afford solid wood. The orangy/brown top works with my wood trim but I did switch out their knobs for some prettier 40mm glass diamond ones that look so pretty and bring on the bling. The pix above from R to L show one unopened box (tho they arrived taped together) after arriving in tact, then the damage I did when trying to assemble the above mentioned MDF parts (by myself I might add), then the first cabinet open showing the shelves (the middle top is not movable), then two shots of both of them completed and in place (with changed knobs). It took me several hours to assemble the first one. I had help assembling the 2nd one so that went faster and no damage incurred. Due to the narrowness of my entry/hallway, I had to go with something ever so slim so these did fit the bill size wise. For two of them I paid just under $300 USD including shipping. So, between price, size, and look, they get a 4 ... but if you need quality - keep looking. ... show more

The cabinet looks good. The back is very flimsy. The directions said it would take 30 min. To assemble. It took my husband 1/2 a day. Granted, he is not a handyman but it takes some time to put together unless you’re really good at assembly. Most of the pieces were not labeled which contributed to the added time. ... show more
