Features

  • The Fulton 4 Inch to 2 1/2 inch reducer has been designed with a specific purpose in mind. That purpose is to connect the industry standard 4 inch diameter dust collection hose with the other industry standard 2 1/2 inch diameter dust collection hose. With a couple of hose clamps (not included) this reducer does its job perfectly and more!
  • One of the reasons that this fitting is used so often within the woodworking industry, is that many of us dont want or need a large dust collection system in our garage or workshop. With this fitting, youll be able to reduce your hose size down to the 2 1/2 inch size which the most commonly used size for most big box store wet/dry vacuums and shop vacuums.
  • This cone shaped reducer can be also be used on machinery with a little help from some other accessories. Typically the reducer works with hose since it is basically the same size as your 4 inch and 2 1/2 inch machinery or shop wet/dry vac ports. With a 4 inch diameter rubber coupler (sold separately) or a short section of 4 inch hose you can connect the reducer directly to a 4 inch port on machines like band saws, table saws, large planers and more.
  • Made from high quality ABS plastic for extended periods of use, this fitting will withstand the constant friction and debris flow of woodworking dust collectors. The reducer measures: Nominal 4 inch end is 3-61/64 OD and 3-41/64 ID; 2-1/2 nominal OD end measures 2-15/32 OD and 2-9/32 ID. All of the dimensions may slightly vary due to slight variations in the manufacturing process.

  • You will need a transition
So many BIG tools and devices use 4" but my small shop mostly needs 2 1/2" or smaller. This transition works well because it is tapered. I use it to transition from the big gulp under my table saw to the 2 1/2" hose further down the line in my system. It seems to easily keep suction even with the reduction in size. Some dust collection parts are interchangeable with plumbing, but most sizes don't match up, so when you need a specific part you have to pay the freight and get a true dust collection fitting, like this. ... show more

  • Nice Connector Piece at a reasonable price!
This 4" to 2 1/2" connector piece is just as you would hope. It's a nice hard plastic with the male end dressed in a chamfer. It's reasonably priced, on Prime, was as described and came on time. So cool!

  • 4 inch to 2 1/2 inch adapter
I bought a new saw that didn't have a 4 inch dust collector port. This was perfect. It accepts a 2 1/2inch hose inserted the same way you would insert a brush or a blade fitting on a shop vac. It's a male 4 inch fitting with a female 2 1/2 inch fitting. Well made, works well.

  • Perfect fit with 2 1/2 in house and 4 in hose
Had a dust collector for years and never hooked it up because I had no hose. Got this and the 2 1/2 in house and wow! So much less clean up! Perfect fit.

  • It's bigger one one end and smaller on the other
It's bigger on one end and smaller on the other, it's made of plastic. Not sure what else one works need to know.

  • Finally!
I have searched high and low for the exact reducer to go from my 4” hose to my shop vacuum. This is the only one that fits perfectly!

  • It is just as advertised
No dislike. Seems durable. Used to connect 4" to 2.5" suction line on dust collector.
