I needed a Y fitting to add to my ducting. I found this one, saw the price and figured I would take a chance. I worked perfect for my needs. I clamped on standard 4 inch hoses and and I was good to go! I do want to mention that I made sure not to over tighten the clamps holding the hose to the Y. I added an exhaust vent/light above our shower stall when I remodeled it with a rainforest shower head and I needed an adapter to allow both bathroom vents to exit through the single vent out the side of the house. I also bought the 4 inch to 3 inch reducer thinking the reducer would slide into this Y connector. But it didn't, now I have to use a union to join these connectors together.
